My guy, Encompass had Count Fleet and Tom Fool who I loved… but he wasn’t much for running as he had 70+ starts and only 1 win. But he became a third level dressage horse in his next life.
I’ll play
I’m not an expert on pedigrees in any way, but I know enough to really be jealous of some of these posted and confident enough to post some of mine.
My heart horse: http://www.pedigreequery.com/stormy+cinda
Her second foal (but our first foal on our little farm): http://www.pedigreequery.com/call+me+babe
Her sister (I wish we’d never sold her!): http://www.pedigreequery.com/stefie+tee
The mama to my current two home-breds: http://www.pedigreequery.com/chocolate+patti
And I had a gelding in high school that was a Danzig horse, but I can’t remember his JC name for the life of me. We bought him without papers and was told his name was “Rodney’s The Man,” but it turned out that was just what the grooms called him at the track.
I was a big fan of Stage Door Johnny… what endurance he had
Here is my mare’s pedigree (1984 model):
http://www.pedigreequery.com/andreas+friend
Double War Admiral, Bulldog and Nearco. She is still going strong. She still loves to work, and jigs out on the trail. Her dam had something like 83 starts.

I saw Bull Dog in the pedigree:

Thanks for that link; I’m going to forward it to my friend.
I, too, appreciate the link to the Bull Dog article. I have a 17y.o. TB broodie with the Bull Dog/My Auntie son, John’s Joy, coming into her tail female line…pedigree here:
http://www.pedigreequery.com/camass
I would love to cross her to this stallion, from the same tail female family, before I retire her:

He has some great oldies on his front page!
Mine have been posted before on the breeding threads, but here is my foundation stallion’s (he is 31 this year!) - I have frozen semen and a number of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids out here - now riding a great grandchild.

And my foundation broodie (what a great mare she was!) – now deceased, but lived to almost 31! I have a daughter, a son and a granddaughter. Her bloodlines are just priceless.

And, my “younger” stallion - 22 this year! He is a real sweetheart. He has Bull Dog “sex balanced” on the top and bottom.

I’ll have to locate some pictures.

I lost this guy a few years ago, but I would love to find another with similar breeding. What an amazing horse.

It dosen’t count at all but my current gelding shares similar breeding to the above’s half brother. He’s another with an older pedigree. http://www.pedigreequery.com/runnin+robbo
I’ve never looked at the “age” of my guy’s pedigree, but looking at it more and more I’m becoming really impressed!
http://www.pedigreequery.com/for+gain
Pharamond, Blue Swords, Hyperion, Mahmoud all in the first 5 generations! And he does have Bull Dog, through Bull Lea. One “old” name I don’t recognize is Jury, a GB mare foaled in 1929, anyone have thoughts on her?
I’ve had many compliments as of late when out foxhunting from “old timers” that used to raise chasers and timber horses.
Fun! I’m pretty newbie to looking at pedigrees; have had my TB since 2005, but only starting getting more interested in pedigrees the last year or so. Here’s his. He’s a 1999 model, but has some goodies that even I recognize.
I’m not used to looking at TB pedigrees at all, but here is my older gelding’s pedigree…
Is it good at all? The only one I recognize is Bold Ruler. :uhoh:http://www.pedigreequery.com/rare+t+bone
and here he is carting me over an itty-bitty jump

The studbook is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Ziggy: Loving the inbreeding to Ribot and having Hoist the Flag in it. Not a fan of Raise A Native at all and I always dislike inbreeding to Native Dancer, largely because it’s almost unavoidable these days.
Lucky’s got RaN once, via Mr P, but his only first-five inbreeding is x3 in the fifth to Olympia via his dam, Copenqueen, who herself is x4 to Olympia. (Which probably explains why he goes two furlongs and says “Really? Farther? Are you kidding me?” I swear he’s operating under the delusion he’s a Quarter Horse.)
Here’s Copenqueen:
(And if anyone knows this mare, PM me with where she is, if she’s still with us? If she were ever in need of a home I would be interested in her.)
And here is my old OTTB’s dam, Justa Game:

Indeed!!
I wonder what the Antiques Road Show would find at this forum?
pedigrophile?
I swear this is pedigree porn. There are some marvelous lines in our barns. TKR - Teddy on the first page. So cool.

Why arent you a fan of Raise a Native?
Heres my girl http://www.pedigreequery.com/constant+lustre
I found shes got princequillo in her twice but one is 6 gen back and on dams side other princequillo is on sire side 5 gen back. Don’t think she has a impressive close pedigree compared to some of the other horses here! My goodness there are some nice lines!
Can I ad my heart horse? I am not sure about the lines but we love him…
