OMG- I had the same thing happen!! 2 hours with no commercial and then right at Philip it goes to the ad. AAAHRRGG. thankfully it was a brief one and from the coverage they are showing it looks as if we may not have missed him at all

they’re not going to show US Riders because they’ll be the showcased riders when replayed on Oxygen… a channel that you have to pay extra to have since it is not offered with basic cable (thus NBC affiliates make money)… sucks but they’re not just going to give this to us for free! Luckily there are showing lots of phillip, but that’s probably why they should very little of the other riders like Karen and Becky

Oh, my. Connaught looks awful.
I was worried when I saw Phillip go to the stick, but then in retrospect, once I realized where he was on the course, that was very smart to get his horse more forward before doing the direct line at the bullfinches.
Great run.
Fabulous ride- looked like horse had plenty in the tank coming home. really looked easy from what we were able to see.
didnt look like he was really going for time, so I suspect he was going for clean.
we definately needed that ride.
I got to see more of Phillip than any of the other US riders so I was happy about that. Saw him through the angles brushes then a commercial came on so I wasn’t able to see the last fence or finish.
Connaught looked good! They made great time too!
He looked that way ay Rolex, too. (JMHO)

Hey, for all of you who event (I’ve only dabbled) how hard is that to change from sand to grass for those few strides here and there. Especially now that its getting wet… seems like the grass would have a bit more slip and difference from the sand. I know they have calks in, but still… seems like an extra tricky component to me.

I don’t think it’s that calculated. I suspect the commercials are just randomly inserted every N time, since it seems they are done differently for every user.
