Olympic Dressage

It says a number of hours earlier, not date…when I started it I think it said 9 hours earlier but I have been watching and then holding to do other stuff

I don’t see anything listed as dressage individual on peacock?

OK I just went back to see how I found it…
Click on the Olympic icon under the picture of the house (home)
Then click to All Sports
Scroll to Equestrian and click
Dressage:GP Indiv. Final shows up saying it started 10 hours ago

Thank you!!! It’s saying that the relay isn’t available for me yet but at least I found it!

Freestyle Judges’ Indiv. Marks —
for those who like to compare marks while watching each Freestyle:

For those who are interested in breeding, the Dutch stallion HERMES is by the same stallion as DALERA, the Trakehner EASY GAME. And the British homebred JAGERBOMB competed against his own sire, Dante Weltino (Oldenburg), in these Olympics.

That’s some interesting info! Back in my younger, hunter days I rode two different trakehners, they were quite different but both fun horses. You dont hear as much about them in the dressage world. and the the father/son thing made me smile.

Edited to add: lots of girl power too, between the riders and some lovely mares…

I agree. They looked nice, but ridiculous at the same time.

Not sure it’s polite to crash somebody else’s party like that.

Loved Carl Hesters ride!

The freestyles I’ve seen (when I started watching, Carl was just finishing) the music for the most part is background music (and borrring). Becky’s music was good and she nailed having the music beat match the movements. Lottie’s music is good and has some beat. The last 4 had better music.

I’m not sure the amount of planning that went into Snoop Dogg visiting with athletes from so many different sports really qualifies it as party crashing. The number of outfits/sports drag* alone probably required the equivalent of a large theatre wardrobe warehouse

*stolen from a friend who calls show clothes “dressage drag”

I would much rather talk with my coworkers about Snoop Dogg in a shadbelly than about some of the other press horse sport has gotten these last two weeks. Especially when I’m talking with the folks who have young kids who might want to ride. Let’s make the front page of the NYT for something good for once. On which note, thanks for sharing the articles.

(Said coworkers are TICKLED to see Snoop got to meet Mopsie the rave horse! Turned into a good conversation about what horses do when they retire from competition, since I explained why he didn’t get to meet Bella Rose the crip-walking horse too. Got some pictures queued up from Madden Mountain for next time.)

Frivolous, but I really like the French team’s shadbellies. Really elegant, athletic lines.

The E! Network was awful. The music was so faint and there was too much commentary. I just switched to Peacock. Much better.

I am so happy I had Peacock! This is the first Olympics I have really enjoyed because of their coverage!

Martha and Snoop were outfitted by Malvern Saddlery. Martha thanked Malvern on her insta story. I know Martha has shopped there when she’s in town for QVC. I only wish Snoop had shopped in person one of the times I was there!
