Yes, it would have been DQ at bit check.
I agree. Attempts to open the frame, lengthen the neck that are maybe sacrificing too much. I don’t think anyone having that issue was in contention for the freestyle.
Adrienne is going to be right on the cutoff waiting for the end of the day tomorrow.
He looked super tense and sharp, despite the heat. It’s the worst feeling to go in the ring and have to do damage control.
What will happen now is an uptick in the sales / use of “pillow boots” - a cross between the knee high pillow wraps and a splint boot (easy on/off) for warmups to prevent… horses being horses! We will pick cooked tendons over “tiny wee nick”.
Maybe I’ll invent them, make a fortune! “Prevent your Olympic dreams dying at the ingate! Invest in PILLOW BOOTS - a must have for horses with horse tendencies, white socks, and those riding under the Eagle Eye of the Public”
There ought to be SOME sort of provision for this occurrence - the horse is vet checked and given a late slot to ride or something. Fancy taking a horse all that way just to get scratched (literally) at the in-gate, taking the entire team with them.
What an absolute waste.
Yes I wonder if she had a difficult warm-up. I’ve never watched this horse go before, so no idea if that kind of carriage is “normal” for them. I’d hope not.
Suddenly all those breeders with plain-jane no-bling stallions are feeling pretty vindicated

Found this - seems it’s not isolated to today’s (but maybe today’s was a little more pronounced)
Maybe it’s just me, but I HATE seeing dirt on the bottom of riders’ boots! Such a simple thing to wipe before going in the ring and I’ve noticed it a few times on both the eventers and dressage horses.
Does anyone know the specific ride times? I am wanting to figure out when Dalera goes EST.
Oh my - Belgian riders story… her gloves… am tearing up!
I went back a found a couple video clips from this spring. Was traveling much the same in the neck maybe a smidge less tight.
Oh my, a homebred! LOVE that.
Come on Jagerbomb!
Me too!
Yeah, she 100% deserves to be here. What a great pair.
I adore his expression. Their partnership is so beautiful to watch.
Could they have shaved her legs any closer? Mercy, she’s bald down there! I’m personally on team hairy legs as my guys play hard, and sometimes the young one forgets where his feet are.
Way to go Becky
