Thank you, Anne.
We’ll all be rooting for A Little Romance, Fred. Also hoping that all the horses finish safely.
Gail, I know you’ll be taking every stride with them, and so will we.
Safe trips to all, and special thoughts for ALR and Jessica.
I rewatched all the tests. I don’t see how Boyd’s test scored as well as it did and I didn’t see what Veronica and Lauren did that offended the judge’s sensibilities so much that they punished her so harshly for the end of that test. I’m halfway kidding, but the only thing I can think of is that what they gave Boyd they took away from Lauren. In terms of the team competition, I figure it all comes out in the wash and I don’t think either of them were going to get an individual medal but still kind of unfortunate for Lauren.
As for PD, can I just say I am so impressed that even with all of the success he’s had in his career and even though he is at an age where many riders are retired, he’s clearly put in the effort over the last 5 years to significantly improve his effectiveness in the dressage phase. He looks like a proper dressage rider. What a test and what a role model for up and coming professionals to see that you are never finished learning.
Good luck to all the riders this morning. I’ll be watching and pulling for ALR and Jessie before work. Wish we could all stay home and watch the whole thing live.
I always wish the live feed would start at least 5 or 10 minutes BEFORE the first ride … sometimes it doesn’t … and I may be on a 5 or 10 minute delayed broadcast … it is showing signs of broadcast life but … Jessica Phoenix should be about to go into the start box and nothing but ads broadcasting …:eek::eek::eek: :o
"Colleen Loach had a great save. I don’t know exactly what happened as her test started - sounded like some microphone testing or something scared her horse into cantering through the trot work. But the commentators did an excellent job of explaining that she managed to contain the scoring to just one movement and kind of saved the day, as it were. Colleen was so cool and kind with her horse, not making the situation worse. Rest of the test was very nice. She finished with a smile and a warm pat for her beautiful horse. Colleen showed a LOT of class! "
What is the background on the theory that this was “the payback for the PanAms”? Kyle even mentioned it in his Dressage Day 2 recap on his show.

Am I the only one who is getting to watch NCIS on the NBC app instead of the XC?
