Here’s where the element of unfairness creeps in. So many horses having to do an extra round, while the Americans, French, Qataris et al are happily home packing in ice already. And everyone starts at zero in the final. I would be happier with the result if Eric had his clean sheet carried forward like the World Cup. It’s two hearts, eh, not just two lucky well rested hearts on the last day.
Nooooo! Yann has a rail down!
Yeah, I think they probably should have gone with lowest combined time of the top 3 riders for each team. Horses don’t have to go an extra round then, and there’s an added incentive to get forward and rolling around the course. Or like nutmeg said, have the previous competition totals carry forward so it’s about consistency, not who has the most lively horse on the last day.
Agreed. I hate that they’re making everyone jump again. As if the horses weren’t doing enough, with 4 rounds in such a short time frame.

I think the jump off should be a puissance, and the team of the last rider standing should win.
Pretty sure Viney’s kidding.
It’s a brutally long comp anyway, doing a puissance at the end would be like those old time boxing matches with no gloves and fight till you drop.
Tiffany is clear!!!

It is not looking good…
Meredith- WOW! she was really mad when she was named reserve, but has done an amazing job these games. I’ve seen her get on this horse, they need to bring out a stepladder, it’s hilarious.
Can we have her back please?
Ugh noo Amy Such a silly rail too.

“Ominously dicey” per the Brit. Sigh…
I don’t feel very “fair play” right now!
It is over
dammit!!
The only good part is that Eric doesn’t have to jump another round today.
Congratulations to Germany on the bronze.
The Germans stepped up when it was needed the most, great rides from all three! Now that’s clutch riding!
Really proud of Team Canada today and congratulations to France, USA and Germany on their team medals
That braid job on First Class! Giving Fibonacci a run for his money. Gotta love the dueling German (ish) grooms.
Oh those Germans! Amazing clutch riders in every discipline!

JUMP OFF for Bronze!!!
Who is jumping off for bronze, and has gold and silver already been decided? I am at work and incredibly busy, so just able to sneak an occasional peak, its so frustrating!
Eric should get an award for ALL clear rounds!
