I had the impression he was trying to save Ilex’s energy for tomorrow, hence the time. And Ilex was NOT a fan of that strategy haha
What does that even mean? He had a rail bc he got underneath the oxer. All of these riders have exceptional eyes.

No, because one rider was eliminated already, it’s impossible for them to qualify for finals. So Pessoa isn’t jumping.

I heard it as Pedro was eliminated post competition in the tent, so now Rodrigo isn’t riding as the team is automatically out.
Qualified for the final in second place. We’ll take that! Solid rounds by all. They’ll be on it tomorrow for sure!
And fast - even with the 2 time faults, our composite time is right at the top.

It means that he saw distances from significantly farther away than other riders and resulted in him not having more rails. He balanced when and where he needed to, not at the last two strides.
He saw the distance to the oxer as soon as he came out of a very short corner and he would never have cleared the oxer had he added. Sure he could’ve balanced more in the line but he’s still human.

that is what live scores show, I wonder why he was EL.
I understand why Pessoa would not use up horse legs if he did not feel it necessary to get into the ring before the individual qualifier.

I see Saudi Arabia also have a red horse - again not following at all times due to work did the horse jump and get eliminated or did rider choose not to go?

Team already had 28 faults, so probably decided not to waste the horse since they wouldn’t be qualified for tomorrow no matter what it did.

Broadcast just mentioned an important point: Any lineup changes before tomorrow are the final changes allowed - as in, if you change the lineup tomorrow, that’s your trio for individual.
