There doesn’t appear to be any informed thought behind the breedings. Color + fancy stallion, fancy stallion plus flat croup harness mares…. the jackpot colt that scored well last year she is advertising for $35k….
The KWPN NA jumper champion this year is lovely and scored light years above hers. Her foal was in a balanced spot the day of. Now it is out behind and doesn’t look at all like a top jumper, but that is how Keurings work. Snapshot in time.
Also, that Keuring seems really off in the scores. It scored horses way better for movement than is usual. IME, being 3-4 points off is HUGE. At that Keuring, some were 10 points high on movement.
