You are not alone.

Mine is “what a nice name he has…”

My default is usually, “He’s a pretty color.”

I believe this is another of her breeding.

Assuming the photo in her FB post is of the sire and not something KS herself bred.

yeah that’s a sire not anything out of her program

I can’t paste the link, I just get the picture, but that first horse is Kilimandjaro Semilly. Definitely not of her breeding.

ETA: This website should work. https://www.elitestallions.co.uk/stallion/Kilimandjaro Semilly

I thought Robbie, the black DeNiro colt that was the future Big Eq horse, was the one she just offered for sale. And now… he’s just too special and “maybe” he’ll be for sale once he matures?

Hopefully he’ll be gelded, grow up in Arizona and get started so someone can see what he’s truly like under saddle.

And yes, that’s a pic of Kilimandjaro Semilly, who happens to be out of a Baloubet du Rouet mare. I’m often curious about how she selects the stallions she uses. I mean… why him, other than a modest stud fee? He does not jump, nor go around a course, like a hunter (amateur or otherwise). But he has spots. So I guess there’s that.

Edited to add @jvanrens beat me to posting the ID of that pinto WB. :+1:

Another grossly misleading post. Those 4 on warmbloods for sale are still there. The whole “hurry hurry” approach yet again.

Yep.

She’s trying to “drive sales” by creating a false sense of urgency – the oldest trick in the book!

Problem is her ads are misleading, her stock is not what she purports it to be, and her claims are ridiculous

We’re all onto you, Kate - hopefully the unsuspecting buyers will see right through you.

For the prices she’s asking I sure hope a novice buyer would consult with their trainer.

Here’s her 2015 gelding by Sandro out of Starsongs Flicker, with underwhelming results with a pro in the 1m/1.10…

And do we know which one this is?? Deceased?

Okay I’m bored and doing some late night creeping…I found one of her foal’s current owners. It’s registered as KWPN (duh) but just went and did well in the half-Arabian category.

Thank you for making the correction on my post.

IIRC, her half-Arabs have done well. I had Arabs for years and was always looking for a good dressage cross that was a little taller and could perhaps “sit” more. Whether the DHH’s can sit I think depends on the individual. For a while, the Arab folks started a breed of half DHH/Arab. Like the National Show Horse.

DHH and Arab seems to make more sense as far as build and movement and ‘purpose’. As opposed to high level jumping WBs.

I think Kate would have more success if she stuck to what was working - a few nice DHH/Arab or other Half Arabian crosses for those rings.

Do you know if a name and registry was created for those crosses? Are the NHS a cross between Arabian and American Saddlebred?

Registered half-Arabian sport horse types could be very appealing if a carefully selected Arabian stallion was crossed on those mares.

For some reason I have a feeling that the more likely scenario would be that Robbie (the DeNiro son) will be kept intact and then bred to some Arabian mares. Lord knows there are gobs of them standing around in Arizona.

They did come up with a name but I can’t remember it. National Show Horses are Arab x saddlebred. I’ll try and find it later.

It’s just one picture… but it looks like the horse has a challenge opening up through the shoulder over jumps. Which is something many people questioned as a possibility when pondering using harness bred mares to produce jumpers. The functional conformation of each is different.
