:lol::lol:
For real? He compared those two images, seriously??!!
:lol::lol:
oh, that is hilarious!
And he hates ego and arrogance? Oh that is funny!
I always get this mixed up, is that irony or hypocrisy???

I read that blog post and now my brain is bleeding.
@Angela Freda No that is my comparison…but he thinks that his effort is what an extended trot should look like.
Interesting since I see both hind legs non-weightbearing. It’s a feckin miracle.
I just saw that over on his facebook page. He himself says he doesn’t ride for more than 20 minutes, won’t excercise his horse more than 30 minutes (I assume thats including longeing) or until she sweats, which ever comes first. For real, he expounded one time about how he gets off when the horse starts to sweat.
And, apparently, this winter he has decried that he won’t ride in temperatures under 40, so he didn’t show up at his barn all winter. That’s just lazy. And this lovely man thinks he’s the kind of speciman people believe should become an olympian. The question of him becoming an olympian not only, apparently, in THIS deep conversation he’s having (with himself), but, this has been brought up to him, we are asked to believe “YET AGAIN”!!! As though it comes up in conversations just oh, all the time. Grim smile. They just won’t stop bringing that up to me. I’m flattered.
Narcissists often think this way about themselves, but they don’t usually write public manefestos talking about themselves. Well, not usually. Some do. If they aren’t getting the recognition they feel they deserve. That’s what this is, a manefesto. This is his “People need to recognize how well I’m received, how highly I am esteemed, how much talent and potential I have, as I have deep yet humble conversations with accolytes. If you don’t see it (and according to the lack of interest on his facebook page, apparently we don’t), here is my description of my achievements and thoughts about myself, my past, and the future” manefesto.
Aiee. I’ve never seen anyone go on and on about themselves so much.
Are you kidding? He thinks that extended trot is indicated when both front legs are off the ground? No mention of overstep, reaching under, round, impulsion, through the back, and lifted in the shoulder? But both front legs are NOT off the ground. And, that isn’t the mechanics of an extended trot, so what is he talking about??
“Oh, no, Master Copperfield. I would never aspire to that. I’m far too 'umble.”
“Oh, I don’t aspire to anything so great as that. I’m far too 'umble.” -Uriah Heep.
I would pay big bucks to see him try to ride an Olympic level Grand Prix horse. I wonder if he could last eight seconds.
I can hear the announcer now…“And out of chute number four, riding Olympic Champion, here’s Nick P.!”
Now you have done it, this thread is now googable…wait for it…grabs popcorn and vodka just in case
Carl didn’t have any money either, they’ve both come up from pure hard work and long hours - but that doesn’t play into The Maestro’s “trust fund baby” line, therefore it’s not true.
He’ll never sell that poor mare with his name attached. He needs to put her with a broker or a friend, and change her stable name, then she’ll shift - providing she’s not turned into a complete basket case after his totally irresponsible “training” for the past few years.
Hmm. DIdn’t he go looking for a broker a while ago? I thought he had one? Not long after posting “If you can’t ride ahorse, but others can, then maybe its not the horse’s fault” or something along those lines. I suspect the broker went running after he “coached” her in the tryout ride. Why do I suspect Nick didn’t reject the broker, but the broker walked away from Nick.
A horse like this is tough even to give away around here. Nice OTTBs with actual show records are easy to come by and you don’t have the NP baggage to deal with. A 25 percent commission on nothing is still nothing.
Oh come on! Wouldn’t quite a few of us here bait him a bit with suggesting he should be an Olympian, if we had the opportunity? Not sure I could keep a straight face, or that I wouldn’t choose to avoid talking to him entirely, but it’s momentarily amusing to imagine the buffoon’s reaction.
I didn’t think it was possible but his lies have become even larger end more elaborate. And still lacking in any way to verify his fantastical claims. This is the first time he’s ever spoken about this mystery 18 year old Grand Prix horse that he could have had, also the first time he has claimed good scores up to second level as a teenager. He has claimed H/J show prowess, and I’m surprised he forgot to mention his previous claims of eventing up to, what was it, Prelim or Intermediate level?
The bottom line is this. Nick, we’ve seen you ride. We’ve seen videos and we’ve seen photographs, including those from your 3rd and 4th level classes, where you scored in the low 40s. We’ve seen your posts showing off your late changes, not once but twice, one year apart, clearly showing that you still not only cannot see a clean flying change but can’t feel, ride, or train one. That tells us pretty much everything we need to know about your previous experience and level of expertise. It’s side-splittingly hilarious to read your critiques of the best in the world knowing that you can’t tell what a clean flying change looks like, even from a still photo.
Please just find your horse a good home and disappear. Stop trying to convince us that you are the next coming of Nuno, stop criticizing riders whose boots you couldn’t polish.
Where is he going on the El, I wonder? Someplace for more interesting than I go, because when I ride the El it’s full of people going to work and students
Holy f-ing crap on a cracker.
Something stronger, yes, and keep it coming.
I’m sorry. WHAT was that one photo where he’s on a dark bay and his hands are literally in his crotch? I assume he’s asking this poor horse to do something . . . but I guess since I’m ‘only’ a First Level rider, I’m just not majikal enough to know what it is . . .
But this right here tells me he’s never actually been on a real dressage horse: “Plus riding a school master isn’t that complicated if you’re a balanced rider and know what buttons to push.” Dear NP: when you get on 17-hand warmblood who actually knows extended trot, and you’re asked to SIT THAT TROT across the diagonal, let me know how not complicated that is, okay? Okay.
I once took lessons on a GP schoolmaster mare. Not that complicated? What an absurd statement. It was like going from a Subaru Outback to a Lamborghini. The buttons are not labelled and are different for each horse. My instructor helped me adjust to find them - and the mare would not offer what she was not asked for correctly - in the exact way. So no, you cannot just climb up there and sit in the middle and have everything just be offered up to you. It took us a few weeks to get everything sorted out just right - and then and only then could I sit a passable canter pirouette. Passable being my fault - not hers. Add just a tiny shift to your seat bones - and you would be instantly be side passing. A minute difference on the reins would mean a major difference in what you were asking for - or thought you were asking for…
Plus riding a school master isn’t that complicated if you’re a balanced rider and know what buttons to push.
So no. Just no. Plus - as A&B’s Mom said above - there is no “button” for sitting that BIG, expressive, extended trot across the diagonal.
One amusing moment we had in those lessons… I was tired but soldiering on and I guess my legs were getting weak and not too solid. We were cantering down the center line and the mare hesitated momentarily, trying to figure out WTF I was doing - and then dutifully launched into 2 tempi changes - as she was sure that was what I was asking for in my clumsy way… “here, dummy - I will help you with this exercise”…
Not heaven. Because you can’t get to heaven on the Frankford El, 'cause the Frankford El goes straight to…
Frankford
He sure is proud of teaching Chevy to rear - he uses that picture every chance he gets.
Hopefully he hasn’t done the same with his mare, because no one sane finds that a desirable maneuver and it will not enhance her marketability.
