This may be a completely obvious question, but is it also widespread in Portugal?
It’s common and endemic in both Spain and Portugal. It’s widespread in both countries.
An acquaintance just imported a Warmblood from Germany, and they had to do the Piro test twice because the first one was lost.
You must be in eastern, southern Germany, because the schwabish build the dang clocks, so they should know how they tick…
They build them to tick differently I don’t know.
Anyway, Piro negative, all good on PPE and x-rays, and has been gelded and healing well (2 weeks post op). Back out in the field with his mates. It was just too difficult to find a place within an hour of me that would take a young stallion, but another colt was off to the clinic to be gelded anyway, so they went together.
The breeder sends me a lot of videos and updates. He’s a very brave and relaxed little guy. She breeds a very nice type.
The shippers are moving like molasses on a cold winters day, but fortunately, he’s fine where he is.
That’s great news¡
I’ve got relatives in that part of Germany, and worked in Boblingen at the Daimler factory back in the day when you could have no more than two beers at lunch!. I’m glad your guy is doing well and is negative! Jingles on safe travels. If you end up in the SW US, look me up!
So when do we get to see Pictures!!???
Right, well, as it turns out I actually bought a hippo…
The good news is he is already brown!! He is beautiful.
What a fine looking fellow. And “fun size” too. Congratulations!

Now we need video. Because pictures are not enough.
Hippo means horse, he just didn’t get that memo! He thought it mean he loves mud!
I see a nickname…
Britta ISPA just posted a lovely young bay on FB in Austria! In case you need two!!
