I’m a fan of his, but I meant strange in that they’ve competed in two 5* shows and first international results together are from May. Looks like a difficult ride and they’re a fairly new partnership for such a technical track and an awful lot of pressure

Not a clean slate, according to this article. It also includes some interesting comments from the course designer. She is the only female course designer at that level with the FEI.

Phew! The feed froze for me as Laura was heading into the last line!
Mine froze at about the 4th fence. Have the scores up on another screen so I could see she was clean. Whew!

It doesn’t look particularly scary but it must be visually weird for the horses or maybe there’s something ahead of it in or outside the ring that has monster eyes because there have been some dramatic moments there for sure.
So now McLain is in second place individually and Laura is right behind him in third place individually.

So the final round of the team competition starts at 1:30 PM Eastern.
Brazil is still in the lead, then the US by only .05 points and then Canada at this point.

Yes I believe today was a 2 round Nations Cup format, just completed round 1
Yeah - there’s a second round today to determine the team placings. The final round for the individual placings is on Friday.
