Paul valliere

Hot Blood was a good read…thanks for listing the book…never knew it existed.

I would let mey dog pee on his face just for fun.

Okay Paul handsome, NOT, a smooth talker maybe, but not for me! He knew Eq but had very bad ethics and was a condescending pig to many. His end should have already come to what he did to those horses! He was a part of it and should have paid!!! He will in the end along with Michael Vick.

We’ve removed one recent comment. In general, as this thread has recently been bumped up again, while we understand why there would be very passionate opinions in this thread, avoid getting into personal or crude commentary.

Thanks,

note - this thread was started by a troll almost three years ago!

I mean two years ago - still, a long time ago.

Probably the model of everything a troll should aim for.

I mean, it still gets hits after 2 years and it has only lost select bits to mod deletion.

A goal to aim for. Without running the train off a cliff.

But, ultimately, backfired as a train wreck because there is some legit info here that not everybody knows and they can learn, do a little research and form their own opinion.

It definitely backfired, and I personally am glad that every few months someone bumps up one of these threads to remind us to stay aware of any new developments. I wouldn’t want the USEF to begin to think it has been so long that no one cares because we still very much care.

I guess I agree - but more than once I have read or skimmed through an enormous long thread only to find it so outdated and irrelevant it’s just a bit annoying…trolls ahoy.

I agree. When everything was going on back then I read about it in the Chronicle and in newspapers, but I didn’t buy Hot Blood.
So when the thread appeared, i got the book from Amazon and read it.
And with Lisa Druck in the news again, we need to all be reminded who did what where and when and why. After all, Lisa Druck said all her problems stemmed from her horse being killed.
People forget, and sometimes new people come along and don’t know the facts. Always good to be reminded that those people are still out there.
Without a terrific federal judge, none of them would have gone to jail at all.

There is NO EXCUSE to even be associated with this man-he killed horses, that is the bottom line. You need to get real!!!

jim druck, lisa’s father, was the person who coached tommy burns in how to efficiently kill a horse for insurance. lisa was a sad damaged kid.

kinda scary how close she got to the presidency. roxanne is back in the news confirming that edwards is still in touch with “rielle”.

Wow. I took lessons with Paul at Acres Wild when I was a kid.
I guess he was a good ‘riding’ instructor, but he was tough and would make everyone cry. We were all afraid of him.
To be honest, he was pretty mean. I remember being so afraid my poor mare and I might chip a fence or something and suffer his wrath.

Personally, I am with the crowd that likes to see these threads brought back to life. I proudly keep my No Reinstatement bumper sticker on my truck and will gladly take the time to explain it’s meaning to those who ask. It was a very sad point in our sport and one I don’t think should ever be forgotten or swept under the rug.

I told a friend who doesn’t visit COTH much about this thread and am bumping it up so she can find it.

Here is my two cents and usually I try to avoid these train wrecks buuut
elite: many people may argue that he is/was a fabulous trainer, however, I think it is safe to say that as a result of training with him, the majority of successful and respectable horse people you cross in your future will have little respect for YOU. YOU need to decide if the pros outweigh the cons for you personally. Receiving some training from P.V. may improve your skills slightly, but will anyone ever acknowledge your success if you are connected with him? Probably not. The amount of hate you have generated by starting this thread is evidence enough. I would advise you to look at your future as a rider more closely and not be so fixated in the now. Training with him may become a significant regret later on in your riding career if this thread hasn’t yet made you realize how regrettable it is.

From what I hear he is alive and selling well in the Boston area, that from a trainer friend of mine up there.:no:

Does he work out of someone else’s farm or does he have his own place? Are people really still training with him? I would imagine it would be tough to continue a viable training business when one is banned from USEF…

Just go the backside of Littlewood at WEF, his barn backs up to the show. He teaches lessons from sun-up to sundown, and does a hefty sales business on top of it.

You can lean on the back of the washracks and watch him all day if you want.
