She is such a sweet girl. She truly LOVES her horses and knows how lucky she is to ride every single one of them. Reminds me of Jen Waxman’s attitude. Lillie has a great future ahead of her![/QUOTE]

She’s a good writer too.

Where is Logan these days?

Lots of bad sportsmanship from riders with stops. Extra beating will not help your case…

Logan who won with Brianne? I think I saw him doing children’s hunters somewhere this year. Maybe at WEF.

I’m not even sure why some of these horses have standings on…some are so loopy that it looks like it’s doing nothing but hitting them in the throatlatch every stride.

Yes, on the white horse that just went, especially! I am hardly ever distracted by tack, but that was distracting.

The Pollux horse had a very interesting back end hop before take off.

Is it junior jumpers that is going on right now? I’m confused (eventer here) about the standing martingales…I thought they were not allowed in the jumpers. Can someone explain this?

These are the schooling equitation classes right now (prep for tomorrow’s medal finals). The jumpers went earlier.

But jumpers are allowed to wear standing martingales, in classes with less than $1000 prize money.

Ah ok, thanks for the explanation!

Good job, iEquitate.

Yes, good job! Looked like they got in tight to the 2 stride but otherwise a very lovely trip. You’d never know that tonight was her first time showing him, they look great together!

I was very impressed for having so little time with that horse.

Exactly! Such a cool horse too. By tomorrow they will be spectacular!

I had to go function like a human being for a little bit - did I miss an order of go? Still not posted?

The skunk tail on the last horse was amazing.

Looking through the pics that the Chron have posted, why are the riders wearing armbands?

P.

I know they want everyone to have opportunities but many of these kids have little to no riding foundation and it is obvious.

That’s a bit harsh. You have to remember that this is the highest pressure situation most of these kids have been in. Sometimes it is not a reflection of their true talent, especially when they are on horses that are most likely over faced.

The results say the horse with the amazing tail is Vocas, the former ride of McLain Ward! Such a cool horse.
