Watching high performance hunters now - this is some good stuff! It is also really cool that my new trainer is out there, so I actually know one of the riders Exciting for me just to watch!
What happened that Taken was eliminated from the HP? I missed the first class.

I missed exactly how it happened, but Kelley came off I think over one of the oxers.

He stopped in front of an oxer coming towards the ingate. Distance looked good, but it seemed like he peeked at it a stride away, almost went, then decided to stop.
Iâve been out of showing for a while, but watching the hunters on the flat from Washington I have a question. Why all the two point and posting at the canter? Used to be that was the dead giveaway that your horse was as smooth moving as a jackhammer. There was one guy sitting the canter in the HP, and one in the second years, but the others couldnât be that bad-movingâŠ
In the hack Youâd prefer to canter in two point unless you have one that needs a lot of collection. At least for the past twenty years.
Why?

Makes it appear youâre doing less.

Hahaha - I was told in the past that you needed to always be sitting at the canter in a hack class also. But that wasâŠ20+ years agoâŠ
SoâŠtwo point to show off the fact that your horse doesnât need you to balance him or make him move better. Makes sense

âŠas opposed to sitting a canter to show that you can do that without shaking all your fillings loose.

Probably since youâve been out of showing, humans (and therefore, judges) have evolved to the point where they are now able to stand upright without dragging their knuckles on the ground, and their brains and eyes have evolved in such a way that they have realized it makes much more sense to judge hunter under saddle classes by looking at the horsesâ way of moving, rather than by where the ridersâ rear ends are in relation to the saddle.

You are typically nothing but nasty, but that was legitimately funny. You reap what you sow.

I really meant it to be neither. I was trying for an explanation that would finally get you to stop persistently asking the same stupid questions, over and over and over again, that you think are hiding your negativity and disdain for our sport but in fact are not, and have become completely tiresome and add nothing to the conversations in which you insert your loathsome self, because you donât care to actually learn anything, you just like to complain.
Is there a local night at Harrisburg?

Thanks! I didnât think there was but I had heard someone say they were going to Local Night on Tuesday and I was confused since I hadnât seen anything on the schedule. HmmâŠ
Just to say, Madeline, stand your ground! What is up with the shocking rudeness on this board tonight? Did someone run out of Adderall?
Watching the hunt night! Super cute fat pinto with and older man in his red coat. Also, there was just the most adorable appy pony with his kiddo. This is a fun class!
