Somewhat randomly, I was just trying to think of her name yesterday (and couldn’t, ugh).

Unfortunately her race of yesterday does not appear to be part of the Calracing.com library of videos. The last race viewable by Pepper’s Pride is from 3/24/2007.
I missed her effort on TVG as I DVR’d the sprogram which ended 1 minute before post time. They didn’t air the race until their coverage changed into the next segment which I didn’t program in to record

Mister Frisky at 2-yrs old was Puerto Rico’s Horse of the Year (1989); his 16 consecutive win streak ended in the 1990 Kentucky Derby. Ridden by Gary Stevens he finished 8th with the famed Unbridled taking the victory for Mrs. Frances A. Genter in the well known emotional victory.
Mister Frisky set two track records in his career. His final record: 20 starts 16-1-2
Louisiana-born and raced almost exclusively there (3 starts were in Texas), Hallowed Dreams (f), at 3-yrs old brought her 16-0 streak to the Fair Grounds in August 2000. She finished 3rd in the $35,000 Millennium Stakes in. Winning on turf and dirt the gal later developed ankle problems and was retired in July 2002.
Like Mister Frisky, Hallowed Dreams also set two track records in her career. One at the Fair Grounds and another at Evangeline Downs, the latter being in just her 3rd start. Her final record: 30 starts 25-1-3

Oh, I feel your pain. I now record 1 hr before and after post time!
Funny side story. On Breeders Cup day, while I was parked in front of the tv bc there was no way I was going to trust my 2 vcrs and dvr, my friend who is new horse racing fan went up to the Penn State game (HUH?). I said “but you’ll miss it!!!” He said “no, I dvr’ed it”.
At midnight I get a call…“Where is the last race, where is the classic??? The program stopped recording after the turf race”. I died laughing. I knew he didn’t bother to notice there were actually 2 horse race shows on ESPN within those 6 hours. Whooohooo. Go Penn State, who lost btw :lol:
She’s back on Sunday at Sunland. But with a lot of weight!

That is a lot of weight for a mare in a non-graded race. But she earned it. 
Fingers crossed for #14! She already made it past unlucky 13, so this should be a cake walk. :lol:

Peppers Pride defeated nine others in her last start, the $182,000 New Mexico Cup Filly and Mare at Zia Park, but has just five rivals Sunday. One of them, however, is Hang Glide, a closer who finished second by two lengths in the Filly and Mare. She is weighted at 118 pounds, nine less than Peppers Pride.
“We were equal weights in our last out,” said Joel Marr, who trains Peppers Pride for her breeder, Joe Allen.
Peppers Pride is picking up four pounds off the Filly and Mare, but will be carrying the same amount she did three races back when she won the $45,000 Lincoln Handicap at Ruidoso in July. The runner-up in that race, Theregoesdancer, toted 121. Marr said the weight spread in the New Mexico Racing Commission is his biggest concern.
“She’s training well, feeling good,” he said of Peppers Pride. “I feel good about her. I don’t feel good about having to carry nine more pounds than the next-weighted horse.”
She did it!
She is now 14-0!
Peppers Pride wins with the extra weight - her class over that field shows as she overtakes the leader in the final corner and stretchs out to win by a couple of lengths!
There is no horse in modern racing history who has gone 15-0 so the next streak holders are all at 16-0.
She looked good doing it, too. Weight? What weight!?

Peppers Pride won for the seventh time in as many starts this season and increased her earnings to $756,665. She could be pointed to the $100,000 Sydney Valentini Handicap on March 23 at Sunland.

In case anyone is wondering about Man O’War’s win streak:
He lost in the Sanford Stakes Aug 14, 1919 in what was his 7th start; he went on to finish as we know with 21 starts 20-1-0
