Pinto Thoroughbred Stallions

Locally (British Columbia), Mass Market has produced painted TBs (when no one was trying to do this-solid coloured mares, race bred).

I have a friend with a Songandaprayer stallion who shows paint characteristics himself. Belly spot, socks, and a splash up the side of his face to his cheek. She is/was looking to rehome him. He was a hard knocking, honest local racehorse, not stakes class but solid, with a great disposition and well liked by those who worked with him. Nice looking horse. I suggested she get him jumping enough to promote him for other than strictly as race producing, and/or promote him to the “paint breeders”, but she has not been able to do this. He has some ankle hardware, IDK how sound he is. His first crop (4 foals I think) are weaners of 2015, and nothing much in the oven for 2016.

Probably info that is not much use to you, but there it is anyway.

What’s your friend’s stallion’s name? I assume he is in BC?

Songandaprayer himself is a fine stallion, but logistically, location prevents him from being a consideration.

On a side note: a stallion that was mentioned earlier in this thread, Sweet Return (pic), has relocated to southern Indiana, putting him well within driving distance. I’m not sure he’s the right stallion for her from both a physical and pedigree standpoint, but I am considering going up to see him in person if possible now that he is “close” by. I know everyone’s cursory research on his offspring didn’t turn up a lot of color, but I’d kind of like to see what’s going on with his coat color and conformation…

I also have a DW stallion, but he is an Anglo Arabian (a yearling). His dam is by Puchilingui. She is the brown horse with stockings. His sire is a rabicano Anglo Arabian. Crossing a DW with a rabicano amplifies the expression of DW.[/QUOTE]

I just wanted to say that your mare Glitter in Gold is phenomenally gorgeous!
