Remember?
Giggles - Alexandra Verville, who rode Sleepless as a green.
How about Sweet As Candy?
Something Special Too was a gray mare, medium or large (I’m not entirely sure), barn name was Sugar. Here in NY she was trained by Billy Barr and owned/ridden by Sarah Boston (my old trainer’s daughter. ) I think she did Short Stirrup as well as pony hunters. They sold her about 5 years ago.
It could be that they changed her show name, though…

How about Glenmore Halston?
He was a small when he lived at my barn Yes, he got bumped up at Washington. Not when we had him. That was an ugly day for a number of ponies. He became a great Children’s Hunter for many kids.
We might know each other. I did a lot of really green ponies, and had a couple of the Halcyon ponies. They could be really tuff.
I think one of the Conway’s rode Paragon. Christine maybe?
Does anyone remember No Deposit No Return?

Hillcrest Better Than Blue was started by Kimberly Vernell, who rode with Trudy Glefke out of Roads End Farm in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Kim also started Summer Wind.

I knew that pony his green year. I have been trying to come up with his original owner’s name? Do you remember it? Robin something, she had blond hair and rode in Zone 2.

Liza and Heather. Don’t remember the ponies, although I braided Liza’s. Must have been For Kid’s Sake or Tickled Pink.

Marti owns a tack store in Ocala…
Do you know which one?? I’ld like to drop by!
Lucky kept that spook for a good while, through at least four riders because I knew her fourth rider…
MKM, I haven’t seen Catherine in about six years. She was showing a bit in the adults, maybe with Jack Towell and dating Andrew Ellis.
I ran a lesson program for several years and Catherine came to be a once a week lesson kid. She showed up for her first lesson in shorts and sandals. And after I gave mom the ‘proper attire’ speech, too.

I remember Gayfield’s Blue Nile with someone from my era but I can’t remember who. He was adorable!

I think he was bought by one of Robin (Bacon) Greenwood’s customers- can’t recall which one now, but I think he was featured in a Practical Horseman article at the time. I probably still have the magazine in my mother’s attic!
