Ponies of the 80's and early 90's

… Courtney Cummings!

quote:
The same pony you mention went on to win the pony finals under saddle with Catherine Winter and later was purchased by Allison Firestone. I know the pony won at WEF and indoors although I’m certainly now knowledgeable enough to give his whole resume. Great pony!

Who would’ve known that little pony clubber gone on to event rider ME ever rode such a fancy schmancy pony!
I schooled that pony and rode it for Catherine when she didn’t want to, I wish I could’ve taken him to pony finals!

Little Bo Peep- no idea
Farnley Old Bailey- laurel mullen?
Sabrina- Jim Chaplin owned, don’t know who rode
Shining Moment- driving me nuts, it wasn’t Laurel was it?
Clouds of Blue- Ryan W. (when I was kid and read Ryan’s name in the Chronicle, never having seen her, I always thought “she” was a “he”! Now we’re friends and she is SO not a “he”!
Flirtation Walk- dale crittenberger owned, don’t know who rode

Are there maybe three bugle boys? There’s Chanda’s chestnut one. And then people have said there is a small grey one, and though the one i was thinking of that Liza Lane had several years ago was grey and cute, I don’t remember it being a small… was in the barn I was at then, but maybe memory is off.

Jordana Feldstein rode Dollhouse One and Only.

Jamie Krauss had a pony named Patent Pending- not sure if that’s the one you’re thinking of.

Don’t forget Snowgoose!!!

Horselesswonder, that is a beautiful photo of your pony jumping! Did you always get that much air?

Keri Kampsen also had Disco Duck.

Didn’t Scott Evans have him at his barn once upon a time?

Change of Heart - Missy Apman
Frito Bandito - Neil & Molly Ashe…I think?
Kiss Me Not - McKinney girls, Amanda Forte

The Mckinney girls had Touch Me Not, and another pony later named Forget Me Not. Later on, the Crowley’s, and others, had Kiss Me Not.

I haven’t seen Catherine Winter in about 8 years. Do you know what she is up to? Is she still riding, is she still even in the US or are they back in France? Her mom owned the barn I boarded and rode at for years. And she bought my eventer to do the jumpers on and was pretty succesful with him for about 6 months, then sold him to Ann Crain and I never heard from her again.

Didn’t Haley Richards own Irish Brass? Man, that was a long time ago!

I think Jeffery Welles did Irish Bit o’ Blue. She came to me as a lesson pony in the early 80’s and was snow white.

For The Hobbit - his last rider as a small pony was Meredith Barto from Reading, PA.

Change Of Heart— Sloane Fleckman
Foxlair’s Fascination— The Ruff Family
Foxhollow Rock Star—Sloane Fleckman
Farnley Old Bailey— Eliza Ladensohn

O.K.-- Dumb Question but who were the Ziff family? I know they had tons of ponies. Are they still around/
