**Pony Finals 2014**
Each video has the ranking/order on it labled in the title. For example this is the winning round https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz6CFPnxic0&list=UUfURNlkKSWURd3Vyw2Eifnw
Yes, but there is no question about that rider’s place in the class. She has the big ribbon to prove it.

I would be interested to hear how Shownet got the finish order for all those who did not get ribbons.

No wonder I couldn’t find it… it has her hometown listed as the pony name! Great ride for Taylor.
Yes, we were laughing at the ingate about the fact that Wellington seemed to be a very popular name for ponies yesterday.

Of course you can compete with a number tied around your body! The point was when formal attire is stated in the prize list you do not open your choker or “snap shirt” as we see these days…and remove your jacket! i was just trying to present a visual as the “look” was not one of someone trying to represent their zone well. Any trainer that attends an A show knows that most judges will not tolerate a choker shirt un buttoned. No jacket is of course grounds for dismissal…How about look around and notice that everyone else is fully dressed! And just to prove a point…she was dressed for the first round! Guess trainer thought that the “individual round” was ok to get comfy! OMG
Well, you weren’t clear. I don’t know why you’d even mention the number if that wasn’t part of the problem.
the number wasn’t the problem…duh…
An awful lot of attitude when you are the one who brought up the number in the first place.

I thought the same thing when looking at the start order for the class over the weekend. First kid was riding say Wellington, second was riding Lexington, third was riding another city-named pony and I thought…that must be a new trend, naming ponies after cities. Then I started scrolling, saw a few dozen other ponies named Wellington and realized what was going on

I realize that the kid was dressed inappropriately. I was simply asking for clarification on the number since that was mentioned in your list of problems.

I wanted to thank everyone for their nice comments on our pony Smitten and my daughter Sophia Calamari. She and I worked our tails off to get this pony ready for Pony Finals and the most wonderful thing is that it paid off. I’m still amazed that Sophia kept her cool and turned in such a great round, going back on top, so late at night, on such a green pony, but she did it and I couldn’t be more proud!!!

My favorite moment of the entire week was when I won Best Turned Out Pony, and my younger daughter said, “How can Smitty be the Best Turned Out Pony, you can’t turn ponies out during Pony Finals.” LOL!

Here is the video of Smitten and Sophia’s jumping round. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuVMmzFYSr8

Anyone interested in photos? I took over 6600 while I was there. I didn’t get every division, but I got a LOT. Just let me know!!

If anyone is interested in photos please visit http://www.shawnmcmillen.com/ and check their selection, which does include every division and the proceeds from which go towards paying their professional staff of photographers.

I don’t believe the Pony Finals pics are up yet. Pony Finals is not listed on the Event Page. I thought maybe that they were under Kentucky Summer and I tried to create an account a couple of days ago but it hasn’t been activated yet.

They are a bit behind… first year without Shawn and the KY summer gauntlet is an exhausting one, but promise the wait will be worth it  Or, if you’re still in KY, visit their brand new trailer (ridiculously awesome) trailer. Should have PF pics on it.

Shawn has been putting his photos up in KY the Monday after the show ends. Sometimes a little later as the numbers have been huge and the horse show started on Tuesday both this week, pony finals week, and the week prior. So not a lot of time for uploading!

I did look at the pics when we were at PF and now I can’t wait to buy them! I have to say that there was not one bad or even slightly mistimed photo. DD and pony may not have been perfect but the photogs were right on with their timing. As DD was walking the course, one of the photogs even came up and asked her if she thought the place where she was planning to stand could be potentially spooky to a pony.

They took one pic that is absolutely priceless - the fence after DD got pony through the combination after having stopped out at the triple 2x the day before. The smile on DD’s face is huge and pony is looking straight at the camera with her little knees tucked to her chin. I can’t wait to have it hanging in my living room.
