Pony Finals 2022

My kids have long outgrown ponies and aged out but I still try to watch Pony Finals every year. You can watch it for free on USEF Network:

Here’s order of go and where they will have eventual results:

Good luck to all!!

Yay Pony Finals! Three of my trainer’s ponies will be there- 2 previous, one present. I’ve ridden and loved on them all, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on the regular mediums (Benlea Brenin Rambler, whose name I think has changed) and smalls (Greenhaven’s Christopher Robin) and the medium greens (Greymeadow’s Happy Hugs)!

One of my favorite things is seeing how thrilled some of these kids are to be there and just get around the big ring. The first time I turned it on today, I saw a kid who had some swaps and a bit of a rough go leave the ring to big cheers from the rail. She was hugging her pony and beaming from ear to ear. Whatever anyone wants to say about the expense and other stuff, that never ceases to delight me – I don’t even have kids and am a long way from my pony years.

That is a lot of atmosphere in that Rolex ring for those ponies. Props to all the kids who went out there and tackled the course.

It’s true. That’s why my childhood trainer always tried to convince parents that going—at least once!—was a necessity and worth the sacrifice. Only a fraction of ponies there win ribbons but there are so many experiences for the kids, both in and out of the tack, that it’s really a special event.

Yes, they have so many different activities for the kids that they can all have a wonderful time, regardless of their results in the show ring.

The Minion Olympics are amazing.

I wish they would do one for Ammys that was similar. Free massages ringside. Wine after each round. Husband leadline. I should create this…

One qualifies by posting two scores of 85 on the best 7 fences out of a given 8 per course at any horse show with open numerical scoring.

Not gonna lie. My eyes get a little damp watching some of these kids.

Does anyone know where to find live scoring? The show management website can be a little slow with the results sometimes.

Supposedly here, but I can’t get the page to load so no promises that it’s actually correct:

Thanks. I tried that site, but it didn’t seem to want to load the right show.

They also have lives scores here: http://www.equestrianlive.com/shows.php

Perfect, thank you!!

I don’t know if I’m just more invested this year bc ponies I’ve ridden are there, or if it’s just old age creeping in, but I’ve gotten misty more than once already!

Anyone know where to find owner/rider standings?

You can find overall results by clicking on the over fences phase at the link posted above by Giddybiddy.

They don’t seem to be updating the Medal class anywhere. Usually they post a stand by list online.

How far have they gotten through the class? They might wait for a fair bit of the class to be completed before they post a standby, just so they don’t have to keep updating it every five minutes.

They are up to #187 of #214 as far as I can tell. They are not updating it seems
