Your news is just soooo welcomed. Glad surgery (or the alternative!) weren’t needed.
Louise,
I am so glad that your Promise is doing better! More wishes for a speeedy recovery!
It would have been interesting if your Promise was the same Promise that I knew but thanks for responding anyway. You satisfied my curiousity.
Good Luck with your recovering girl!
What do we want? Poo!
When do we want it? Now!

I have heard of Goshen, NY - it’s where the Hambletonian is run (or at least used to be)
Thanks for your continued support guys. News is not good tonight. Promise is in quite a bit of pain and dispirited. This could be good, if it means that the mass is moving, or bad, if she has just given up. I will know more tomorrow, when they rectal her again, and will let you know as soon as I know anything.
I appreciate your support more than you know. I come from a non-horsey family, and the people at work don’t really understand either, so it really helps to be able to talk these things out here, and with my friends on IM.
Good night
Louise, I hope by now you have a “relieved” mare, and a relieved heart. If not, hang in there these mares can work through the damdest situations. I had a mare sent here for IV therapy and possibly to bury here. the owner was truley thinking in those terms. This mare had a soft ball sized enterolyth. The vet did NOT believe it would pass on its own. But lots of oil, and belly massages later, it DID pass. That was 4 years ago and “Babe” is still fat and sassy. I will keep picturing Promise well - I hope that you can hold that image in your heart as well. Blessing to you, both. m
Things Take Time
Thinking good thoughts and praying Promise will be ok.
Here are my good wishes and prayers for you and your faithful mare!
