Our hopes and prayers are with you and Promise. If not by the sheer volume of positive vibes, and our collective prayers, we are all hopeful for a speedy and complete recovery.

Super news Louise!!!
Sorry, I didn’t mean to forget about your question, I just got a little excited there for a bit lol.
This isn’t the same horse. Promise is an 18 year old TB who I have owned since she was 4. She is loving and one of the most obedient horses that I have ever seen. She is also bottom of the totum pole with whatever horse she is turned out with, which may explain the obedient part.

Keep those good thoughts coming. The good news is that the intestine so far is staying where it should be. The bad news is that, in spite of all the flopping and jogging and fluids, she still has the impaction in the large colon. It looks like it has moved a little, but, we are still very much “in the woods.”
I know that the next stage, if the blockage doesn’t move, is a medicine that can have two very serious side effects
There are, right now, no plans to use this medication.
So, if you could all remind the powers that be (and Promise) that poops are good things, I would really appreciate it!
But we both know that isn’t going to help Promise. You could always try loading her into a trailer and going for a short ride. That is almost guaranteed to get and keep things moving.
Seriously now, I do hope it all comes out OK. My kids and I are pulling for Promise.
Besides we need you for this coming weekend at the Heidi bash!! You are the only one with directions!
