This may be the last Preakness at Pimlico. The plumbing has failed, toilets overflowing etc (pay the lady) and the building will end up being condemned.
When did they start loading the horses two at a time? (I mean, it makes perfect sense, and one wonders why that haven’t always done it that way.)
I think they’re on for next year, but after that is anyone’s guess.
Whew ! I spent the whole race yelling at Bodexpress to stay outside.
and yes, you can see the starter say, “shit!”

I’m SO, SO, SO glad that Bodexpress stayed out of everyone else’s way. That could have been ugly.

Anyyone know what happened with BE?
They just showed that he was acting up and knocked the jockey against the gate and he lost his stirrups, and that was sort of that when he broke.
Well, i was hoping all the horses would finish (and continue) on their feet, and all the jockeys stay on; so i got most of it. 
He came out of the starting gate like a bronc coming out of the chute…Not sure there is a good “why” for that, but everyone involved is lucky that the end result wasn’t worse.
Is it wrong that I was hoping bodexpress would win sans rider??? :winkgrin: Did I hear correctly that he ran an extra lap before the outriders finally got him??? Lawd, what an overachiever!!!
Seriously, that could have been ugly, I get it! I’m so relieved that it wasn’t and that the jockey is ok!!!

my heart was in my throat with bodeexpress running all the way around…this years Triple Crown races are truly something!

No, you aren’t wrong. I was watching his reins. Surprised they stayed so well. BE ran a good race all by himself. That’s good training.

The horse wasn’t standing up straight - he was leaning on the side of the gate and the jock had his feet out of the irons. Not sure why they weren’t yelling No to the starter.

I thought she looked gorgeous - love love love her dress. Not everyone plays to the camera every minute. Probably a long day for her in uncomfortable shoes.

Right?! I was watching his reins as well…so glad it all turned out ok! I’ll have to watch the replay to see how the other horses went bc I couldn’t pay attention to anything but BE!
