Meet Sugar, my new foster dog.
She is from a hoarder, and was pulled on May 21. Her original foster momma had to have surgery, so I said she could come here. We didn’t know until I picked her up that she was pregnant. Rescue knew she was exposed to males, but her foster didn’t have any pregnancy experience and didn’t recognize the signs. I do have breeding experience, so she is staying here.
She is a chihuahua mix, I think with chinese crested.-She is only about 6-7 pounds, and some of that is babies. There were over 25 dogs, we have no idea what the daddy is.
Her temp has been 101, but dropped to 99 last night and is still there this morning. I usually see them drop lower than that but it could be. She is still eating, but my pug momma ate right up to delivery every time.
I am betting tomorrow and 4-5 puppies, but could easily be wrong. She is at least day 55 based on her rescue date.
