Congrats. Hope both of you are doing well!

So I wanted to join the group.

Took a home pregnancy test yesterday.

By my calculation, I am about 4 or 5 weeks along! :congratulatory:

I have an appointment in a couple weeks with my doctor to do bloodwork. This is our first so I am nervous/excited!

And just FYI, they will take a LOT of blood.

How was your 21 week?

I get U/S every two weeks, so they’re less exciting for me, but if I only got a couple I would be super excited.

Dang, I do NOT do good with giving blood. This was the biggest thing I was dreading about getting pregnant, haha. I am literally sick the rest of the day after getting blood drawn. No joke.

Drink half a big gatorade before you go. Got that rec a few years ago and helped me a ton!

It went really good! He’s a thumb sucker. This is actually my 4th ultrasound and I am likely to have another couple before it’s all said and done. I don’t get one every 2 weeks, but certainly more frequently than is normal. I think at this point, with my complications, they are more worried about whether or not I will get to keep my uterus after foaling. I told them I didn’t care either way.

I assume you are doing well?

It’s not as much as if you go donate to a blood bank, but the first time they drew multiple viles, I was kind of shocked at how much they need.

I have had to give a sample for some test every single time I have been into the OB this pregnancy. So just a heads up, if you are over 35 or high risk, they want to suck your bloooood.

I’m a well whale, of the beluga kind heading toward great status quickly. I’ve been the same size since 7th grade, it’s an odd experience to just keep growing and growing and growing.

Little one is a kicky movey monster, but coming right along on schedule!

Still riding, haven’t jumped since I posted on here that I jumped a couple of weeks ago. At this point I don’t think I’d be comfortable trying either. It’s hard because I am losing a ton of muscle and tone and it’s reflected in my ability to execute on a horse. Along with the fact that one lap trotting and I’m panting, and everything just feels weird.

Being pregnant is definitely not one of my favorite activities, but someone somewhere told me it’s worth it in the end?!?

Nick, that’s the part they don’t tell you: how much oxygen the little suckers take away from you! I’ve given up riding and am watching/helping the kiddo leasing with him which is rewarding in its own way (so I tell myself).

My little DC won 6 out of 8 over fences classes with his Lessee this weekend and took third in the hack. It’s incredibly gratifying to know I “made” that, and that a 16yo kiddo with very little showing experience can walk in the ring in her very first show and win the eq, champion in the hunters, and win the classic. I DID THAT!!! In the mean time I spent my Sunday morning on a nice trail ride with BBH.

And yes, my kicky monster is an oxygen THIEF!

^^ Yay DC and his awesome trainer

My due date has come and gone. If this little sucker isn’t out by Monday I’m booked for an induction. Anyone been induced before? I’ve heard it can hurt way more. Not going to lie though I’m happy to have an official “end date”

I’m not pregnant, but its not like donating blood, just look away while they are doing it. They swap out viles (and you won’t even know it (I have blood taken a lot, sometimes as frequently as weekly for months at a time) and don’t feel anything. And back in the days when I could donate blood, I used to almost pass out each time, so try not to worry about it. You can also ask for them to use a butterfly needle, its so tiny you won’t even feel it going in.
