Probiotics for dog's teeth?

I just pulled out my little scale.

The Proden label says 350 mg per scoop. 350 mg = 0.35 g.

My little scale has 0.1g accuracy. More would be better for this but this is still enough to prove the point.

Blue proden scoop with lifeline power:

Bounces between 0.3g and 0.4g

Clear lifeline scoop with lifeline powder:

1.0g

Proden and Lifeline are the same weight per volume.

I wonder how it breaks out at cost per scoop?

Proden 420 g is $79.94 on Amazon. 420 g x 3 scoops per gram = 1260 scoops per jar. $79.94 / 1260 = $0.06 per scoop (Six cents a scoop)

Lifeline 1 lb is $18.83 on Amazon. 1 lb = 453 g. 453 g x 1 scoop per gram = 453 scoops per jar. $18.83 / 453 = $0.04 per scoop (Four cents a scoop)

Cheaper, but not by nearly as much as the price difference would make you think, because the Lifeline scoop is 3x the Proden scoop.

But, using the Proden scoop with the Lifeline powder (using the Proden dosing on the Lifeline product, since the scoop holds the same weight of either product)

Lifeline 1 lb is $18.83 on Amazon. 1 lb = 453 g. 453 g x 3 scoops per gram = 1359 scoops per jar. $18.83 / 1359 = $0.01 per scoop. A penny.

Yeah
I feel comfortable using the Proden scoop on the Lifeline product, cutting Lifeline’s recommended dose by a third (iow, using the Proden dose) and saving 5 cents a scoop. Not only does the jar last longer, and I pay less, but the smaller dose looks to work fine.

@MunchingonHay you’re really fine to use the smaller dose, if you want.

I have this product literally on my counter. Information about it’s weight per volume is above. You’re wrong that it’s less dense than the Proden. And it is not a granule.

Powdered kelp;

Kelp granules;

I guess you just don’t care that it’s not a granule, and isn’t less dense than Proden :woman_shrugging: :woman_shrugging: :woman_shrugging:
