Promise Update

VERY Glad to hear she is doing better, Louise:)

Give that little girl a big kiss for me!!

(And as for Sr. feeds, Taffy and Johnny both has used Vintage Sr and Vintage Racer- the Sr. was a flop, b/c it was so boring, they had no interest in eating it until we made it a mash w/ molasses every night. The racer is very fiber and energy rich however, and very easy for them to eat; they love it, and are both looking excellent at a great weight right now)

Next time we plan to visit Canada and Heidi, do not breath a word of it anywhere near the barn!

We really did miss you. I told Heidi and Duffy what a really great person you were - even nicer than you are on the board!!!

Poop Poop makes Promise feel better.

More Poop and make it all better, Please Promise.

All my good thoughts and prayers are with you.

Crossing both my fingers and my toes for Promise!

toes and eyes are crossed for both of you!

One-eyed Wicky

This is the Promise mare - she’s not on level ground here, she is pretty level herself.

Just a little plain bay mare, with a small star to add a little spark. Because she was injured at five, she never did anything, except keep me very happy. But, in the end, isn’t that what really counts?

Hi Louise!
I’m so glad Promise is doing well! It will be good to see her back in her stall again and hearing her giggle ( and grunt!) She is such a sweet girl!

Promise must be bored silly and I’m sure Penny misses her. You forgot her tongue sticking out too!

Thanks for the kind words, msj. I’m blushing

Don’t get stuck in the sludge if you’re that confident in your ride!

and Promise massive amounts of postive poopin’ energy

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have seen many really bad cases turn around and recover without ever having any more troubles!! Good luck.

Wonderful, wonderful news LOUISE!!!

She is happy and healthy looking, and it is my gut feeling that this thing is over.

However, the salmonella test is not done yet, though so far nothing awful is growing. It should be done tomorrow, and I really hope we can move her back to her own stall at that time.

So, hang in there Wren, and by tomorrow you should be hearing her little giggle again. And, she is cribbing like mad because she is so bored, so you will undoubtedly hear that lovely sound again too.

I have my Promise back!!!

so happy for you and Promise!

May she also have a nice large pile of poop and pass all the rest of that gas with it and there not be another section of intestine diplaced.

We are all rooting for you, Promise. Hang in there girl!

Louise, if you want/need someone to talk to, I’ll email you my home and work #'s.

We’re all still with you and Promise, Louise.

Keep goin’, Promise! Maybe tell her she’s going on a vacation? That always makes my guts get all excited and get to work.

but i’m so glad that promise sounds like she’s on her way to recovery. she looks a lot like my bay mare, a plain bay with a little white thingie on her forehead.
so someone has heard of goshen! you’re right it’s actually a delightful little town with an historic race track and a lovely horse fountain in the center of town, with a street named after Hambletonian. the whole town was set up for horse people because of the racing industry that was very prominent here. (they still race, but no betting)
will keep promise in my prayers. Good luck!

That is the GREAT news

I am so happy for you both!!!

Promise is almost home and back to normal!
