Any idea who is giviing the English presentation?

my live stream is really spotty. Anyone else having this problem?

It’s going pretty good for me. German coming out of the right hand earphone, English out of the right hand earphone. Recommend using earphones as the audio was hard to hear with both talking at the same time through the computer audio.

Hot Spot was nice.

Still having issues. Wonder if it’s my modum. ?? Just got a new one.

Thanks so much for the link. Now I’ll get nothing done today except for watching this!!!
I so so so wish we could get an auction like this going in the US. I KNOW we have horses this good. I just watched 2 horses go that are okay movers but I personally have some at home that are much better movers. I also know of several other breeders that have great horses. We just need a venue like this one to make some big money!!!
Sigh…of course it takes $$$ to make $$$ & Paul S. certainly has that!
I just took the survey from the AHS & I noted that we really need to try to work on 1-2 sales yearly that could maybe feature inspection champions, mare testing champs, just overall top horses in the US. I know we have a few sales at times but they haven’t been great successes. Anyone want to put out some $$$ & do the PSI type sale???

I want Bayo

when does the 'sale" start?

You know what?

All the warmblood breeders on here whine and complain. Folks, you’ve got to put your money where your mouth is. Rent the covered arena at the KHP for a weekend, or when they have the young horse stuff or a rated show at the KHP and bring all your young ones.

you don’t have to have velvet curtains, just more than one or two horses in one place at a time.

The TB and STB people figured it out a long time ago, ie Fasig-Tipton, Tattersalls, Keeneland. The Arab people have Scottsdale. I’m sure the AQHA people have somewhere.

All the money you lose just talking about it and not doing, you all could have a sale every year.

Exactly.

Alberta holds a warmblood auction every year. There is online and live bidding. A few horses leave the country every year.

Added to say that now I’ve seen several that are wonderful movers. Did not care for a couple that I first viewed. Not that they weren’t good horses just not worth what PSI always gets for them.

Really?

Apparently someone thinks the horses are worth that, they wrote the check.

Here’s a clue. Something is worth exactly what you can get someone to pay for it. Not a penny more.

If you can’t see the value in the bloodlines and training… well, keep watching, you’ll get it.

I learn something watching every horse that comes in the door, and each rider as well.

You can place any “value” you want on your own horses. The only horses I saw that I wouldn’t care to own are the 2 or 3 that I didn’t think I could ride.

I was uber impressed with South Coast… and the walk on Der Designer

Agree with NomiomI1. Der Designer was outstanding in all three gaits.

Gee 2ndyrgrl. Guess what? I DO get it. But you can’t say that just bringing youngsters to the KHP during shows, etc. will get them sold. WAY different from what PSI is doing. I wish we had one venue that could afford to buy them & then train them that year prior to the auction like PSI does. Now that might tempt some buyers even from other countries.

PSI doesn’t work just because of the presentation. Its the networking. You have to have people with deep pockets bidding at the auction in order to get good prices.

PS is a genius at getting the right people interested in the horses he has for sale. I’d say that takes at least as much time and effort as breeding 1000 horses a year and selecting only the best to transport from Lewitz stud to Muhlen to be produced.

The auction is tomorrow, starting at 3 pm German time, I dont know if they live stream that, but I may have to check…

I’m not sure that any horse at 4 yrs old is really worth the price that they get for some of these. I do, however, believe that the breeding program(s) in place that generate these horses have been researched and tested and designed to produce horses w/ hopefully great potential. Also I think the PSI team has spent more than a few years building this auction into a grand spectacle that caters to those who can afford big tickets. I know someone who has bought there, and Kasselman periodically wines and dines in this country both purchasers and prospective purchasers. Its not just lovely horses but an ongoing and targetted marketing effort all the time.

2tempe, You’re exactly right. Looking back you could say it’s taken a lifetime of PS’ to develop the auction & reputation to attract the big spenders. I love that I get a catalog every year. One of my mare’ SPS german daughters produced a top selling PSI horse about 4 years ago & they’ve been sending me auction info ever since. Wish I had $$$ to burn!
Just wish we could do something like this over here.

I think you might be a week off. Their web site says December 10 and 11.

Not to be a party pooper, but a few of those PSI Auctions horses were at the US Young Horse Championships this year. One that sold for 950,000 Euro and another that sold for over 500,000 Euro. The one that sold for the higher figure was beat by more than one US bred horse.

YEA! GO USA breds!!! We do have some really super animals over here no doubt!
