Purchasing/transporting a horse from Canada

Her parents are also stunning, no surprise there lol. Looking forward to virtually watching Miss Volley grow up.

Finally something for scale! My 30 yo being a pest, but he’s 15.2(ish) and standing level with her.

I love that the dog looks like it is prepared to referee if needed.

How is everyone doing? Is your filly feeling better?

Oh yes!! She is feeling very good and getting into the routine, waits at the gate at dinner to be brought in and waits at the gate during turnout for her hay to be brought out, she’s super. Bay wanted in her paddock the other day for nap time.

The weather has been fantastic up to this morning. We are awash down here in everett. Glad you have the good weather to help her recover with plenty of fresh air and ability to move about

Oh not any longer! After Thursday night’s dousing, it looks like my big paddocks are closed for the season and it’s just the sacrifice paddock off the barn until probably April. Meh.

yes should have made that "Had " weather. The long slog begins. I was reading an article last week about the annual rainfall coming in way below average and being on track for lowest in a ton of years. I suspect that is on its way to being erased.

We are definitely in a deficiet but tell that to my arena, which currently looks like a tidepool, and the squish-squish-squish as I walk around the grass areas. Only the 30 yo is out until the weather takes a pill. It sucks but it’s the only way I can preserve pasture for spring and summer grazing and save on hay.

My Dad came to spray the WD40-on-steroids stuff on the stall doors, which gave me an opportunity to snap these! Normally I have one or the other trying to get into my pockets

Also, my Dad is 6’1"

It is nice to see a young horse that has had a nice sociable character developed

I finally drilled holes in the side of the box rails so that then it became simple to lubricate the truck assembly rollers

that baby horse is going to be a tall dude

Thanks! As much as I love showcasing the disaster that is underneath the leanto … We are hopefully dealing with it this week/weekend. There is Lighthoof and rock underneath that muck, but as you can see, there is a slight hill so water and glacial silt just flows right into it, so the muck builds up. It’s so nasty. We’re going to scrape out the mud, which I meant to do before it got totally nasty, and then build up with rock again. It just slowly gets pushed down.

Hopefully not too tall! Parents aren’t hugely tall. I’m just crossing my fingers she is the type to get height out of the way and then spends a couple years working on width

It doesn’t look that bad. Just maintenance.

Your dad must be a likable person. Your horses seem to be very interested in him and what he’s doing.

She’s so well-proportioned right now that when I see pictures, she just looks like an adult pony!

I wonder if the awkward stages are coming. or if she will be one of those rare horses that simply grow up evenly without ever looking like they were put together by committee.
