So if you buy the ability to watch everything can you later re-watch it? Joining the site is the only way I can watch the WEG. But if I can’t go back and watch the stuff I missed that would suck.
Blackout in USA for WEG on FEITV?
I think that FEITV is blacked out in USA for WEG.
USA has to purchase from universalsports.com/premium
$29.99 for 65 hours of live streaming…great price. i just purchased it.
I purchased FEITV last fall…and in the spring I had to purchase universal sports to watch Rolex (eventing)
The universal sports streaming of Rolex was great…and I can go back later a view what is in my “library” on demand.
So even though they are offering it and will charge people from the US to watch you can’t? That sucks! Thanks. I will check out universal. How long can you go back and watch the stuff? Do you stop being able to after the 65hrs? I hope it is cheaper then that for a pass to all the WEG stuff. I liked the fact that feitv was only $13/month
UM universal seems to only have 3 days coverage? So on feitv.org it says that to check the LIVE schdule as some things are not available in all regions. When I go to live it shows WEG available. There is no contact on their page. Grrr. I guess I will rist the $13 and put a huge note to cancel by the 1st of next month:lol:
I haven’t been able to ascertain as a FACT that it’s going to be blocked - I just suspect it, knowing Universal. AFAIK no announcement has been made either way.
So, I’m confused. I didn’t read anything on either the FEItv or Universal sites that mentioned blackouts for live streaming. Unfortunately I found out about the Universal site AFTER I had already purchased a month’s worth from FEI. I’ll be pretty upset if they do blackout the US, and refuse to refund the money. May have to dispute the credit card charge.
If someone can post the link where the blackouts are posted, I’d appreciated it. Thanks.
FEI Blackout
I am in the USA.
I can only speak about my experience with FEITV and Rolex(eventing) this spring.
I purchased the FEITV last fall to watch the European Eventing Championships. I paid the whole yearly rate for FEITV.
I thought that I would also be able to watch Rolex this Spring on FEITV.
However, there was a blackout for the USA.
So, I purchased the Umiversal Sports live streaming.
The Universal Sports is actually better than FEITV because of the way it is set up. You get your own on demand library.
But Universal is only doing 3 days of footage. I am hoping there will be an answere for feitv because they have so much more to watch.
FEITV never made any announcement that Rolex was going to be blocked in USA.
I am guessing the the local country is always blocked…for example the BBC might get the rights to stream in England.
Universal TV broadcast schedule is different from Universalsports.com/premium live streaming internet schedule.
The live streaming internet schedule looks like streaming every day for everything.

I-Pad and compatibility with Universal Sports, FEI TV?
I am a total techno retard but would anyone happen to know if you will be able to view the WEG on an I-Pad? I’ve been considering purchasing lately to read NYT, Eventing Nation, Horse Radio Network, surf internet, watch TV shows. But it would be fabulous if I could view the WEG stuff when I commute, at the barn or down time at office ; )
I know you can view video content (download TV shows from I-Tunes) but I am not sure of the compatibility issues because I know Apple blocks certain “Apps” (if I am using the term correctly) like Adobe Flash. Not sure about “Silverlight” which I think NBC has used in the past to stream video.
Neither flash nor silverlight work on my iPad …possible thar silverlight is updated but I would check with apple.

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!! Thanks for the info!!!
I’m trying to decide between FEItv and Universal - I suppose FEItv will have better commentators. Anyone able to give feedback on that?

fsf- I love you
Universal Sports on TV.
Hi,
Sorry if this has been discussed already…
I receive Universal Sports through my cable TV. From Universal’s website, it apppears they’ll be airing the WEGs live on TV, so those of us who do get the Universal Sports channel won’t have to sign up for the live stream. Correct??
I’m a tad confused. Obviously.
Thanks for any assistance.
The link mares tails posted shows exactly what is on TV/online and when- it seems like the online streaming is of absolutely everything live, there isn’t as much on TV as there is on the stream.
