Re "Suffering Pines"

Hi…tried to post today (in the “Suffering Pines–The Beginning” thread) but nothing showed up–even though the “thanks for posting” message appeared…tried a few times–still nothing. Hope there aren’t (eventually) multiples of the same entry! Anyway, loved the conversing critters, too!

Welcome to the CoH boards, DiamondMine! Always glad to see a new member–especially one who appreciates great literature! LOL!

What’s happening? The last post here was close to midnight on Friday and the last episode in the story was at 4:14 on Saturday.

Has the story line dug itself into so deep that all you marvelous authors can’t quite figure out how to dig your threads out?

I’ve been waiting with bated breath! I sure wish I had the talent to jump in with a character, but I don’t so I’m depending on all of you to keep this going.

I happy to start the ball rolling, but BUMPKIN AND THE CALIFORNIA CLIQUE HAVE TO HELP!!!

Great, fun idea! I’ll print out the thread tonight and try to stir up my creative juices.

I’m having way to much fun with this Thanks all!

And also I sorta made a new character - only he hasn’t actually appeared yet, just been called on the phone - but anyways he was Dr. Lock Thompson, DVM - a dead honest, respected, old school vet Jackie knows from her youth.

Sarah

A hint to all the talented writers participating:

Shouldn’t Jackie consult her favorite on-line bulletin board for some advice, red herrings or gossip, hee hee!

You guys are doing a FABULOUS job. I have checked a gazillion times a day since the story started.

I want the next addition, come on guys its Friday, kick back and let it rip.

Yep–they all showed up–but I deleted the extras. First time I ever encountered the time-delay-appearance of post thing. Computers are still–and probably always will be–mysterious to me…

This is cool! I finally had time to sit and read everything, so now, I have one question, CAN I PLAY??? I think we need another dressage rider, maybe a girl who wants to dabble with jumping, and heard that Erik was accepting students and boarders… But there is a dark side to this girl, nothing that his her fault, but she’s “old money” that seems to have a curse placed on it, and there are many dark and evil people in her family, and lot’s of mysterious goings on whenever they come around… Huh? Huh? Can I play too???

Oooh, that post hit a little too close to home

Actually, if you hadn’t read it elsewhere, I came back from a 5 day business trip Wednesday night to find I was one dog short of a full kennel. (No note from caregivers, only an empty run)Thursday a.m. I received the news from a neighbor that my beloved alpha bitch, Pounce, had been killed Tuesday evening. Til now, we’d been apart only one night in her 5 1/2 years. After 4 nights w/out me, Pounce must have thought I was lost. She had NEVER left the property (17 acres) before, but on Tuesday she eluded her caregivers and headed up the highway to find me. She didn’t make it

I promise to dig thru the threads as soon as I can type w/out crying. You see, Pounce always sat with me as I composed…

I was just wondering what ever happened to Suffering Pines…not that I ever had enough time to completely keep up with it. Like good soaps it gets so intertwined I’m easily lost. The fact that there are a zillion authors keeps it stirred as well.

Well off I go to the land of Suffering Pines…probably won’t be enough interest for a Beyond the Cactus sequel from way out west…and I don’t think I am the one to attempt a start.

What a great summer relief! Thanks Kryswyn…

I LOVE the story, and will just enjoy reading it…my journalistic style would throw the story waaaayyy off line!

Of course, Kryswyn, I do know of a few characters I could add from our past that would add major spice!!! And you know exactly what I am talking about!!!

LOL I think that presents a ‘time continuum conundrum’ problem! Imagine, Colin posting about “jackie” posting on the BB getting help from “colin” who is actually in the story as…

Grrr I just typed this whole thing about why Fiona was not the villianess of the piece and !poof! it was gone. so let me just say this: The real Fiona is not involved w/ any of the bad things happening. She would never kidnap a horse. Diane Amos would NEVER be permitted to do business w/ the real FF. So go from there! Can’t wait to get back to you tonight!

Hey yall…Sorry I havent been here this weekend! Unexpected beach trip! Urgh! Anyways, I’m here, ready to start back! But I dont know WHERE! Hehe!

Jump in Devildog, the water is fine!

Oh, Kryswyn, I’m so sorry!!! How awful.

I suppose you might believe I saved the entire thread into a document, even editing it somewhat to get rid of some of the “garbage!” It’s 86 WordPerfect pages long.
