I really like “Suffering Pines” so far … but you have so many people eager to post that the story is following many different paths! Perhaps if someone gets “beaten to the post” by someone else, then they should delete their posts for the sake of continuity?

Indeed, this could prove to be the biggest problem. I’m going to try to address this by tying things together, witness how I’ve married “maribeth” into the story line. There will be some confusion, and any author who feels that the following posts are going in a different direction may certainly edit or delete. The great thing is that the places in the story will be held, and we could go back and completely rewrite something to smooth or set up something that was written later.

Kryswyn - This has become my favorite thread!! Everybody has a great talent for writing - I’m picturing a best-seller! Can you imagine the cover right now - one of those Harlequinesque covers with a breathless cleavage revealing Jackie and Erik with his massive, shirtless, he-man chest with those long flowing locks under his helmet…UGH!LOL

I think that the various versions can be used to your benefit. Perhaps everyone could quote the last sentence they are starting from so as to keep everything in order. If someone deletes a version that others have continued it might turn out to be more diffficult in the end to put it all together.

Good work and keep it up. Unfortunately, any angle I might have would be a cdn one and so I might happily lurk through this wonderful thread.

Ah, I love it Kry! Haha I’ll get workin on it right now! I’m havin toooooo much fun!

Just got back from the KOP trade show. Only good thing about the road trip was that 4 of us were discussing what to do next in SP! Love the new twist! Let’s review what needs to be done in the posts above and go from there.

EquiMom, you were especially mentioned by a lurker we met who said you “write REALLY WELL!” Thought I’d pass it along.

Many thanks to everyone who has jumped in so far, and remember, ANYONE CAN ADD TO IT! There is no style that cannot fit. (We just proved that )

Have a good time - see you in the Pines!

Razumny, why aren’t the twin horses communicating??? Go for it!!!

Hey Ben & Me…great line about the Middleburg Farm fire, except for one tiny detail. Er…umm…Diane Amos was killed off near Charlottesville, and her body was found in the barn by the Whipper In’s dogs buried under a stack of haybales. Unless of course you’re leading up to the Diane Amos at her farm isn’t REALLY Diane Amos…??? Hmmm

86 pages???

Oh well, I guess we should make it an even 100!

Kryswyn-
This is TOO MUCH FUN! Thanks so much for a great idea! I ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT! I simply am dying to see how the next part of the story goes!

Oh Hattie, you just like it because you rode with that certain N.C. transplant trainer - you know all the people are REAL!! LOL

Not to worry - our DSL has been on the blink and I’m going nuts not being able to participate and write more about Erik. As soon as I can be assured that my lengthy addition will not disappear into limbo b/w my keyboard and the BB, I’ll be back!

Nice job on the Fiona story line Ben & Me!

I’m computerless for the weekend. Have to catch up w/ya’ll on Monday - have a good one!

Kryswyn-

Sorry I’ve been away…
The name of the tack shop in So. Pines is Cabin Branch Tack Shop; Sam Bozick, leathersmith extraordinaire, works in the basement. There is a bench near the register in the shop that is oft occupied by members of the old So. Pines horse aristocracy. It’s amazing the things one finds out while shopping in there.

How was KOP - the fake KOP, isn’t it being held at Ft. Washington or something like that? Any cool clothes for tiny people (ie the toddler sized Kerrits vests)? I’m on the look out for teensie clothes for teensie people!

Everyone, SP is absolutely fabulous!! I am making my non horsey friends read it and they love it!

Quick question, though - is anyone having trouble printing pages 2 and 3? Every time I try, I lose the end of every line. Any ideas on how I migh be able to fix this?

Thanks!

Oh shoot! I forgot about that toally! Serves me right though for not participating for so long huh? Well I’ll go fix that right now! Thanks for the reminder!

So…Where is it? I wanna play again!

Okay, I’m sort of into details. When Erik was introduced, he had disappeared from the horse world 10 years ago. Now, all of a sudden, he’s been away 7 years. What happened to the other 3 years?

I think that’s the amount of time he’s been w/out a woman. I’m supposing that his dalliance w/ Diane Amos took up some of that time. Of course, you could always post and answer it LOL! It couldn’t be any stranger then some of the other things we’ve got going on!

This story is rocking!! Anyone who wants So. Pines places info, etc. email me… There are some cool things that could be incorporated (for instance we haven’t used the tack shop for any gossiping…but that doesn’t ever happen in real life does it…hehehehe ) This is the best stuff I’ve read in a long time…

this is gonig great ya’ll - and I’m glad I inserted Savannah back into the story line b/c that definately added some stuffs to the plot…so wahts up w/ Muffy? And have we forgotten poor Vanessa?
