Report Site Glitches here!

@MDMom I moved several current events threads from OT into the reopened CE forum and left a redirect from the OT forum for a day. The page navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen aren’t currently working, but you can use the ones at the top of each page of the thread to get around while they fix them.

Does that address the problems you were having?

@SolarFlare Now I can not get this notification to go away at all. It takes me to page #2 with your post to me. I have read it coming from the notification. I have read it coming from the forum thread. It still wants me to know that you tagged me way back here on page #2.

OH well, I am sure they will figure out all the glitches.

Though not being a computer person I do find it interesting that the ‘base not edited’ forum software comes with so many weird glitches. Good luck to the IT team at the COTH.

@trubandloki Can you get the notification to go away by clicking the Dismiss button? I reported that they aren’t disappearing on their own when you follow the notification, but in the meantime, I was able to at least clear mine by clicking the Dismiss button for each of them.

Using Chrome, I can only seem to advance pages one at a time. For example, the COVID-19 thread. If I scroll down and click on the last page (or any page), nothing happens. If I scroll to the top of the page and type in the page I want to go to, it returns to page 1. The only way I can go forward is to click “next”, but that takes me through pages one at a time. Not practical for long threads.

Thanks!

@J-Lu Thanks! I added that to their list.

How about a non-glitch that something worked as expected

I changed my signature and yes, the signature does appear to be changed. Yay (where is that thumbs up emoji??)

@Moderator 1

I’m pleased to report that (for me) the Quote, Like, and Page navigation buttons are once again functional and working as expected.
Thank you for all that you do!

Edited to add… And the Edit Button works again too.

I am not able to quote or like any posts

I also can’t edit…or switch pages

MODs, just want to thank you, well for everything, but especially for find EVERY political thread since 2017 and moving it to current events.
I can’t imagine going back through them all, remembering the content and moving stuff.
Thank You!

Can’t get to the second page of any topic. Clicking on the number does nothing. Next does nothing.

Also, no editing.

My login is back to my screen name and no longer my email address. This is okay with me but different than before the takedown.

I am using Chrome. Can’t get to more than the first page of threads, the buttons for the page numbers do not work, neither does the “next” button. The “like” button does not work.

Since I cannot edit, I did see Mod post about getting to the other pages in a thread. Mine will only let me use the top button arrows to move through pages, I cannot just put the number of the page I want to go to in and go directly to that. Still can’t just click the pages numbers to go to that page, either, using the top buttons.

The quote functions don’t work for me. Mac running Firefox.

I could only log-in on the Chronicle site (not this forum site), where it recognized me but still didn’t carry over to the forums. Then I read on this thread about the little log-in at the top right of the forum page. I tried repeatedly to log-in there, but it would not recognize my password (same password I’d used moments before, on the Chronicle main site). So I changed my password; it took a long time to log-in, but did do so evidentially.

I’m on Firefox, on a Mac.

Thank you for all the work you do keeping the forums running!

Please test quote, edit and bottom pagination.

Thanks

I just made a minor punctuation edit and my post was flagged as spam when I tried to save.
