Report Site Glitches here!

Reading a thread doesn’t dismiss that thread from your notifications

Thanks @Simkie. That was helpful. I appreciate your taking the time to give me an education.

Me too.

Cant reply or quote

They had that fixed yesterday, is a problem again today.

If you Mark the Channel as Read - it will clear the notification. (in green at the bottom of the page, the Mark)

Quote and Editing are working for me

There is a little ‘button’ to the immediate left of the Topic Name. Click that and it will take you to the first unread post for that topic.

I, as a matter of habit, when I’m done with reading a forum, click Mark This Channel As Read at the bottom of the page.

I wish when I did this it would also unbold the forum name; it used to but now does not.

That is not my issue. My issue is that only select threads show up on the “latest activity” list.

I’ve found that if you use the back button to return to the notification screen, the notification is still there. However, if you refresh the page, or click back on the Notifications link to reopen the page, the notifications are automatically cleared if you had visited the thread. Does that work for you?

What browser/version are you using to access the site? Have you tried restarting your computer and revisiting the site? Thanks!

I’ve requested that they add back in this search feature.

testing delete

It does on Chrome. It does not seem to on Safari (iphone)

With regard to posting images…

I used to be able to upload to another site, copy the picture there, and paste it in a reply window here. It only worked on the computer, but it was a great way to get inline images large enough to see.

Now that doesn’t work :frowning: Can we get that ability back? Or can we get the restrictions on upload image size here increased? They always come through so small.

Using the Mark Channel as Read forces the Notification to clear as well as a page reload. Just seems like pages aren’t reloaded when I’d expect them to be… back buttons, reading thread that has a Notification, etc.

I don’t know how to clear the bolding on a forum name when all the topics in it have been read (like it used to).

checking to see if copy/paste of an image works

@JB thanks! Copy/paste for images works in Chrome but not Firefox. Good to know!

There is a caching issue I’m noticing where on the forum topic page (such as Off Course), threads I am reading are shown as having no new replies today when there in fact are.

@Moderator 1

Why is the original poster no longer identified in the thread they started?? Can you get that back? Makes finding updates and things so much easier.

I think that function will be there, just has not been activated yet.
While they are working on big glitches they want less to work thru in their way.
We are all participating on a bare bones web site now.
They are trying slowly to get it up to full function, eventually.
