Rescued-- UPDATE & New Kittens- update Silo sighting 7/26

Oh lord…they are so funny. If you want to feel like a fool, try and outwit a cat. Looks like Silo is being a good big brother-uncle. Caliby is just a terror. And you need mousers. You need mousers. Just keep repeating that. (we are here to enable if nothing else…lol)

I went up later and they were all in the pen crammed into the tiny box! BK was eating out of the food bowl in there too.

I moved the big box back in there and put the litter box back in as well and everyone seems happy to use it based off of what I am scooping out. I was afraid they would have an aversion to the pen but they seem happy to go in there and it is familiar.

Calliby and Rufus are my daredevils and yesterday Calliby did a tightrope walk along the top rail of the loft stairs prompting me to find some plywood to stop that madness.

Silo is so good with them and of course they adore him. When he has had enough he magically disappears

Question: Do I need to deworm them yet?? With what??

I’m glad you asked as I have no idea either.

I love these pictures.

Me too! I send them to my mom who is a cat fanatic and so wishes she lived closer that 2000 miles away so she could lavish these guys with love.

Getting a semi decent picture makes her happy.

They are having a grand time being loft dwellers and so far so good!

Some new pictures. Officially they are 2 full months tomorrow from the day I discovered them.

They are just so busy it is nearly impossible to get one using a camera but here goes.

I am not singling out Calliby & Rufus but they are the 2 that are always underfoot and stalking me. I think it is the canned cat food. These 2 are always waiting for it :yum: Thomas comes eventually and Jenny prefers kibble.

The old pen I couldn’t keep them in has become a great source of amusement for them.

UPDATE:

Thomas and Jenny went to a new home today. They were 9 weeks old

As I might have mentioned the receptionist at my vets office had told me to let her know when they were ready as her mother wanted one. I hadn’t been into the office for weeks and I stopped by last week to tell her and in looking at their bulletin board I see it is covered with " free kitten" notices :astonished:

I figured her mom already had all the kittens she needed ( because of that) but when I asked her she said her mom had been waiting for mine ! I asked if she would want 2 and again she said yes :slightly_smiling_face:

I was shocked she was happy to take them both but my heart is breaking…

I sent them off with a bag of their kibble and some wet food and a brief note on what I have been doing care wise and their personalities. I had no idea I would get so attached.

I am thankful we never had puppies!!

Goodbye my babies

Can’t leave out Rufus & Calliby

Good job with finding homes for them! It would be hard seeing them go.
