Riderless Horses and Horseless Riders--matchmaking service!

Horseless Rider in SE PA

Hello!

I am an experienced 25 year old rider in Chester County, PA. I have ridden 3’+ hunters on the “A” circuit as well as a variety of experience that includes working as an exercise rider gallopping 2-3 year old TB’s at a training track, working student for a CCI eventer, and competing in local jumpers.

I have spent the past two years riding for a local “A” trainer working with her green prospects and sale horses, doing client demos and showing the sale horses. Unfortunately (for me), many of these mounts have moved on to new homes or are now part of the lesson program and there is not much to ride now that kids are out of school for the summer.

I am a quiet, patient rider that specializes in bringing along the green horses and believe in a strong flatwork foundation. I am available to ride 3-4 days/week and am hoping to find someone who needs help with their horse or a trainer that needs additional help. I am not able to afford board at this time and would love to ride in exchange for the occaisional opportunity to lesson or show.

Please let me know if you have any riderless horses or know of any opportunities! I am very dedicated and love to learn.

Riderless Horses in Central Ohio

Looking for a sensitive rider to help me exercise my two horses. One TB X gelding and one OTTB gelding. Both are green over fences, but we’re working on it! One is a solid 1st level dressage horse. Both have great manners with no issues. PM me for more details, please!

1/2 Lease on Grey TB Mare- Amherst, MA

Looking for an intermediate/advanced rider interested in riding a greener but very intelligent and willing TB Mare in Western MA. She is super sweet, puppy dog personality, and incredibly smart- she is quite green, w/t/c, some lateral movement, and introducing poles and x-rails. Needs a rider who is very confident as she absolutely picks up on any nervousness, if you’re confident and in charge she’s a happy camper. Very comfortable and definitely a fun ride, really enjoys having a job.

Lovely full-care farm in Amherst MA, indoor and outdoor rings, XC course, trails, etc.

Terms/price of the lease are quite negotiable- I’m most interested in finding her the right match.

Riderless Horse Moving to Vermont

I have a 19 yo OTTB that needs to be loved for the summer. He currently lives in southern NH, but will be moving to the Burlington VT area shortly. I am unable to care for him during the summer, and would love to find any kind of lease, but preferably a free lease. He has evented successfully through the training level, and is overall a pretty incredible guy. Very negotiable!

Horseless in Lexington, KY

Not sure how it’s possible but I am still horseless here in the Bluegrass. HJ trainer that’s been out of the saddle for some years, which never seems to be a problem when I get tossed the occasional ride. Looking to go from “occasional” to “consistent”.

I adore flatwork and have many references available. I have plenty of green horse experience but not looking to fix someone’s troublemaker. My focus is sport horses, something that needs to progress or stay tuned, or can at least handle a vigorous hack. Schedule is heavy but quite flexible. New to Lexington and not sure where to reach out…?

Horseless in Cincinnati, Ohio

I rode for eight years hunter/jumper, but was out of the saddle for almost 9 years until a month ago. Lately, I’ve been grooming and exercising polo ponies, but I’m looking to ride more frequently than once a week because I want to work on my skills as a rider so I can become a serious rider again. It is best for me if the horse is located around the Eastgate, Amelia, and Batavia areas. Please message me any questions you may have about me!

Riderless Horse – Adamstown, MD

Back to December, “Nemo” is a kind and flashy 8 year old TB/WBx gelding available 2 days per week starting in the fall. Local show miles in the 2’6 hunters and EQ and ready to move up. Also showed at HITS Ocala in the baby greens. Schools 3’+ at home. Walks down the lines. Super comfy canter. Always in the ribbons. Trail rides, stands for the farrier, trailers, etc. No vices. In your pocket personality. Owner does not have time to keep him in work starting in September. Best suited for an intermediate and above rider. (not a mean bone in his body, just slightly green) No buck/kick/rear. Prefer leasor to take one lesson a week with onsite USHJA certified trainer. Showing possible. Barn has a large outdoor, trails, heated/cooled viewing room, and a lighted indoor ring. Would ask that ‘leassor’ helps with some of board/farrier bills. ($200-250/month)

Horseless Rider - Trumbull CT

Rider with 15+ years experience looking for saddle time while working away from home. I have primarily been an Eventer, but have ridden hunters, jumpers, dressage and western. 1-2 rides or more per week while I am here (could be up to 2 months, or more). I don’t NEED to jump (though I will if it’s what YOU need).

I will be happy to contribute towards board for the right horse - but keep in mind I am still boarding my own horse back at home  My only criteria is that the horse be sane - as I said, not picky. Will drive up to 1 hour in any direction.

Horseless Rider Alpharetta, GA

Looking for a horse to ride. Over 30 yrs experience breaking, training, showing and re-schooling. Started out with hunters progressed to jumpers. Moved into breaking and prepping TB’s for the track. Found my way into eventing and finally settled with dressage. Dressage is what I truly enjoy. I had to put my horse down a few months ago so I’m horseless. I’m 5’11", slim but would need a few weeks to get riding fit. If you have a horse that needs excellent care and riding time please contact me. Refrences available. Thanks

NICE H/J or dressage WB seeking part-time rider – north Dayton, OH

Free part-lease for experienced hunter/jumper or dressage rider on 7yo, 17.3hh imported hanoverian gelding. Show opportunities possible.
The gelding is a bit green, but has shown locally at Training and First level with good scores, and jumps around 2’6 easily with scope for much, much more. FABULOUS personality and fun to get along with. Not spooky and 100% easy to load/bathe/groom/clip etc. Trail rides happily as well. Boarding facilities are north of Dayton and offer large sand outdoor with jumps, indoor, heated tack room and bathroom. Trails are a 5-min trailer ride away.

I have a busy work schedule and for that reason he’s been on the back-burner for the last year or so. He’s large, but very quiet and light to the aids for a big horse, but he does have a lot of jump, and is not suitable for a beginner. Days and amount of riding is negotiable, I just want him in regular work.

Horseless rider, in Northampton county PA

My experience with horses is about 5 years or more, I am turning 17 in august, not all of those were years that I toke lessons. I love horses, and I believe that trust is what a horse and rider should work on. I just recently started taking lessons last summer, I can walk, trot, and canter now, I also know how to lunge, and I love grooming horses. If you live in this area or near it and are looking for a place to board your horse where someone can exercise him/her, email me and I will tell you the barn I am at, which is lovely, there’s area to do trail riding and it’s not right next to a highway. I will work and groom the horse as much as you want me to at any time of the year as i will be in cyber school. I will do the exercise and grooming for free you just need to pay for board.

Horseless rider…

My plans for the future changed quite a bit. So now I will spend another 6 months in the Tampa/Sarasota area in 2013.
My last riding experience with on OTTB was very pleasant and I’m quite open for anything.
I’m an dressage rider pretty solid in first and second level. it would be great to some riding opportunity…

Horseless Rider in MD

Have a horseless friend in Bel Air area that would love to have something to ride. Excellent quiet and effective rider. She is also great with ponies!

Horseless Rider in DC/Baltimore area

I’m a horseless rider in Howard County, MD, looking to have a regular ride.
I’m 23, married, working FT but just graduated from grad school so I’m shocked to find I have time to ride again! I’ve done a little bit of everything (including driving and working with Saddlebreds!), but mainly rode jumpers and eq, in the 3’-3’3" range, schooling to 3’6".
I’m 5’3" so I’ve schooled a lot of naughty ponies in my time; I really like working with ponies but of course will ride horses too! I’ve taken years of dressage lessons and have a lot of experience on the flat. I’m also used to riding a lot of different horses and enjoy it.
I will also groom (will groom for shows but I wouldn’t suggest using me as your braider) and muck stalls.
Willing to pay lease/half lease fees for the right horse/situation, as well as work with a trainer.

Riderless Horse in Keswick, Virginia

Older teenage dark bay TB in Keswick, Va (about 15 minutes away from Uva) needs a rider. He is a great guy who went to college with me and was the favored horse to draw for IHSA. He can do the pleasure classes all day long when he is in consistent work, but he does have a great sense of humor, so not a true beginners horse  In his younger days he did the jr. hunters at the local shows. He is wonderful on trail rides. Would love to have someone come out to ride or would also consider the right free lease situation. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
