I am a horseless rider in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area of NC. I rode hunters and jumpers for many years on my own horses, until I had to sell them before college. I have over 15+ years riding. Since graduating college (3 years ago) I have been catch-riding whatever I can find! I had my most recent catch ride for over a year when his owner decided she had to sell him for financial reasons. I am MORE than willing to work off rides, I am an excellent stall cleaner, horse feeder and barn sweeper:)

Horseless Rider- Northern NJ

Riderless horse - Buffalo Mills, PA

Very sweet 16.2h 15y/o OTTB gelding looking for a confident intermediate rider for free half lease. No cost to ride the horse just pay half his monthly board. I will take care of everything else. I am 19 weeks pregnant so will not be able to ride much longer, and I hate to see him sit. He’s fine not having a job but does much better with one.

Boy is fine for a beginner in the ring but needs at least a confident intermediate rider on the trails. He likes to go! W/T/C fine but has not jumped in a while. Was doing 2’6" previously. He’s forward to the jumps and thinks about where he needs to be, he also needs a confident intermediate to advanced rider over fences because sometimes he feels he needs no input from his rider and wants do things his way. Nice facilities with a 60x120 indoor a 60x180 outdoor and lots of trails and mountains to explore. He’s brave and confident and often times will want to check out places we have not been. He’s very sweet and is a good honest guy.

The rider in the photo’s is the trainer who started him over fences and is 6’4" or 6’5"…

Older WB Schoolmaster- Northern Colorado

My horse is riderless at the moment. I just don’t have the time he needs or deserves. He’s a 20yo imported SF gelding. He’s sound and sane. Used to show the AA circuit and is a packer at 3’ and can still do 3’6 when in better shape. Even though he’s an old man he doesn’t know it. Best suited for an intermediate or advanced rider because he does have a motor. No spook, stop, buck, etc in him. He’s also schooled xc and LOVES it. He’s trail ridden all over. Just overall a wonderful guy.

I am in search of some saddle/barn time! I moved to NoVa about a year ago and haven’t had the time or money lesson or lease as I had hoped. I am experienced and have ridden with and worked for some top dressage and eventing trainers in the northeast. I am a vet hospital manager, so my schedule sometimes makes a regular riding schedule difficult. I am more than happy to pitch in with barn chores when I come to ride! Riderless Horse in San Diego

I have a gorgeous, huge Haflinger that is needing to be ridden more. I have too many horses and not enough time. Goes English and western. He is the prettiest Haflinger ever! He is strong but with work he goes really well. He loves to be worked with and is great on trails. He has jumped a couple of times before too. We trailer out to trails all the time and I am sure he would love someone to lease him. I also have a couple of other horses the person could ride too.

Horseless rider (eventer) in SE PA

My gelding has been off and on lameness problems so I’m looking for rides until he is sound again (or long term).

I ride english and western, have experience with eventing, h/j, eq, dressage, gaming, western pleasure, etc. I’ve ridden plenty of green horses and problem horses, I’m a soft and gentle, but a no nonsense rider.

I can provide references from vets, farriers, boarders, etc.

I have a fancy gelding warmblood hunter in the Leesburg/Aldie VA area for quarter or half lease - show lease available!

He’s a great jumper (hasn’t refused a fence since I’ve owned him) who courses up to 3ft and has flying lead changes. He’s great on trail (just not water) by himself or in a group and is a huge love-bug. He’s quiet at shows and a really fancy mover and would be the perfect summer show horse for a confident rider!

He’s light in the mouth and frames nicely but needs a confident rider as he’s very sensitive and can be lazy/take advantage of someone who isn’t confident and self assured.

Horseless rider in the Northern Virginia area. Through no fault of her own, my 14 (15 in July) year old DD is looking to pick up a ride or two. We cannot afford to lease but she is good in the barn and absolutely willing to wrap/walk/groom/clean tack etc. She is confident on the flat and o/f up to 3’3-3’6" with a nice soft riding style and completely independent seat and hand. She likes a naughty pony or two and is willing to hop on greenies if they have a brain and aren’t dangerous. Is probably most comfortable in the 3’ ring right now (children’s hunters or low children’s jumpers, or 3’ medal classes…had a ride lined up all summer to show a NICE horse once each show at HITS Culpeper in the 250k 3’ hunter prix but that horse is now out with a career ending injury). Has shown hunters, jumpers and eq with wins in all three rings. I am willing to drive her a fair bit from our location in Fredericksburg - she has ridden from Richmond to Culpeper to Winchester, to Southern MD. Willing to take her anywhere for the right opportunity, she is likely going to homeschooling for the next year at least. Perfectly happy to help someone put miles on an investment animal. Enjoys getting ride time outside the ring too if you have fox hunters or polo ponies that need kept in shape. Hasn’t gone cross country before but I will be taking her for a couple lessons in that area this summer. Just a nice kid with a good brain who would love some regular saddle time.

Looking for a horse near Bloomington, IL

Not quite horseless, but l’m looking for opportunities closer to my home. I am 30 and 5’10" and have shown through 4th level dressage (PSG debut next weekend). I’m looking for a 3rd level or up dressage horse for lease or partial lease near Bloomington, IL.

I may also be interested in a hunter or event horse in the area. I have done both hunters and lower level eventing in the past, but will need to refresh my jumping skills.

The ideal horse for me would be a confident horse over 16 hands who is available at least 3 days/week. I offer a strong background in dressage, excellent horsemanship skills, top notch care, references upon request, and flexibility in terms of scheduling.
