RIDERLESS HORSES in Western Washington (near Redmond)
I have two young horses coming out of training at the end of the month. I had hoped to sell them before the fall but that is getting less likely. I would love to have someone ride them regularly or occasionally over the fall and winter. I am open to all sorts of arrangements. The only thing I don’t have is a great place to ride at the farm – but I am only a couple of miles from a public arena/roundpen with trail access, and I’d be willing to haul. Also open to free leasing. As I said, suggest anything and I’ll at least consider it!
Both horses are registered Paints.
HAYLEY (Sonny’s Baby Grand) is 5 years old, dun tobiano, PONY-SIZED, not sure of her height but I doubt she reached 14hh. But she is not delicate, and I’m sure she could be ridden by any normal adult. She is not ready to be a kid’s dead-broke pony though. She needs more miles and confidence. Solid WTC, has been shown walk-trot, has been trail-ridden. She would probably love western games/barrels with the right intro (which isn’t going to be me!). She has had 120 days training plus an additional 90 days boarded at the trainer’s so she could be used for trail riding and lessons as time allowed.
PHOEBE (Runs In Her Stockings) is 4 years old. She will have had 120 days training or maybe it’s even 150 now – I left her in one more month to be started on cows. She is probably 14.2, very VERY cowy in build. Great temperament, no attitude. Solid gaits, easy to rate. She has NOT had trail experience.
Edited to add pictures. Hayley is the pinto, Phoebe is the solid chestnut.
