Horseless Rider near Austin, TX
Recently relocated to the Killeen/Ft. Hood area for work and looking to get saddle time in any way possible. Primary background is in lower-level Eventing and H/J, but have experience with a wide range of disciplines and types of horses and will get on anything (particular lover of OTTBs :)). Could potentially exchange work on weekends for rides and would consider a lease if the situation is right (ultimate goal is to event competitively in the area). Willing to travel up to Austin and associated outlying areas.

I own two lovely, older T-bred geldings, both OT. They are stabled at my private farm in the Walden/Montgomery area, five minutes from Rt. 84, 17K exit.
Once the weather breaks in March/April I would love to start taking them out in company once or twice a week, on the trails around the farm. Since they are pasture buddies, they would enjoy it too!
Though both are broke to death/on the buckle-- no spook, no drama-- they are more ‘go’ than ‘whoa’ and do require an experienced rider, one who can handle a more forward type of horse (soft hands a must!) and won’t get ruffled by any bouts of exuberance/silliness that might occur.

Riderless Horse in NJ
I have a 15.2hh TB mare for a free off-farm lease (technically $1/month for legal reasons). She is sound for w/t/c and low level jumping, but she is not confident over fences and needs a patient/strong/kind rider to guide her. No maintenance.
Ideal lease situation would be long term (1-2 years) within an hour of 08088.

Hi, if you’re interested I live in Ledyard, Ct. and have a 15.2 H thoroughbred that only 3 people have successfully ridden. One did hunter, another evented him and the third person did dressage. He’s had some time off, and pulled some fast ones lately. I’m at a loss as to what to do with him, considering giving him to my farrier who was successful in pole and barrel racing with him to rehome or sell.
I certainly would understand if you didn’t want to consider this, not many people want to ride him! He needs a confident rider that could work thru his issues.

Still looking for an extra rider for my mare! The person who was going to came out a couple times then never showed up again?
She’s on full board, so no need to clean stalls or anything: just keep tack dusted off and horse ridden! I’m only able to ride once or twice a week and she really needs a bit more!
She’s a 15H Morgan/Percheron cross, built like a tank. She can take a heavier or taller rider. No bad habits, perfect ground manners. Really: this is not a difficult horse to ride! Stubborn, but no buck or rear and will listen once she realizes you’re not going to put up with anything. She’s also fast and needs work slowing down, but isn’t a run-away or anything.
The grounds she’s boarded on has a large arena, smaller dressage ring, round pen, and a grass jump ring. There are shows now and then – currently have a monthly series going on that I think has four more, next one Feb 14th.
I ride her English and have a 17" dressage and 18" AP saddle. She goes in a myler ported D. I do no particular discipline with her, but she’s done everything from driving to jumping. She does neck-rein… when she feels like it (hey: she IS half Morgan!), and the girl who owned her previous was teaching her the barrel pattern (which she tries to remind me of any time the barrels are in the arena. Again: Morgan…)

Hello!
I am a rider of 20+ years, primarily hunter jumper, but have experience with dressage as well. I am currently horseless by choice as I lost my heart horse 4 years ago and her “replacement” was not a good fit. SO I am taking a break from ownership, but would still like to ride a bit, maybe take a few lessons, and keep my feet wet, so to speak.
Looking for something nice and reliable that maybe just needs some extra exercise or even a physical rehab project. I have done lots of rehab and have worked for a Large Animal Vet as a technician, so completely up for a horse needing brought back into work. I’d also be perfectly happy hacking an older horse or pony a couple days of week just to keep the joints moving. I’m on the small side, so can definitely jockey ponies (5’4" and under 120). I’m really up for anything, so please feel free to reach out!

Hello all!
I am currently living in Philadelphia and am looking for any horses who need riding. I’ve been riding for about fifteen years in hunter/jumpers. Competed in the Big Eq before leaving for college in 2011 and rode/trained horses at my barn in New York throughout my college years. Since moving I haven’t been able to ride and I miss it terribly! I trained my most recent horse from the time he was green and impossible to ride and brought him up to the big eq (and he’s now happily toting short stirrup riders around the ring!), and I have a lot of experience working with horses that nobody else wants to get on. Unfortunately, finances make it so that I can’t take lessons or have my own horse anymore, but if anybody has a horse that needs riding nights or weekends, please let me know! Hotter horses don’t scare me so I’ll get on pretty much anything that needs to be exercised. If anybody has more questions about my previous experience, don’t hesitate to ask!

Riderless Pony in East Tn!!
Are youlooking for a pony to work with and lease out or love yourself? I have an around 12h twiford welsh mix pony at my barn that I do not have time for. I love him to death and he is already about 9, but hasn’t done much under saddle, to be honest he knows how to long line / lunge and I’ve trotted him a couple times last year. When I finally did get the time to work with him, the next day I found out I was pregnant and there went that, my daughter is now 3 and between working full time and her, I just don’t have time for my pony and I hate that he has no one to work with him and love on him like he deserves. My 14 yr old son loves him dearly, and he is out of the mare I have had since I was 7 (I’m now 30!!) so he is VERY special to us because of that. *My mare has lost her teeth with her older age, so between board and her special pellets n feed costs I really would like to “free lease” him out but in a situation where if he doesn’t work out with someone, or whenever they are done with him, that he always comes back to me.
If you are looking for a project pony to officially train and lease out for profit, *or use for lessons, or something like that or know someone that would like to be able to train a pony “from the ground up” please let me know. He stands for cross ties, bathing, loves to be groomed, is a little picky about his feet but picks them up. He bridles fine, moves a little bit around with a girth but lets you do it. He works on both a lunge line and longe lines, he probably could even be taught to drive. He is a real cutie and lives outdoors right now and gets just about an lb of grain a day and the rest is just hay and grass. To be honest, he’s a little chunkster right now and would most likely be fine without grain at all. His name is Spirit, my son named him from the movie lol, and his sire was “Cash” a Twiford Welsh owned by our local vet Dr. Haught in Abingdon, VA. *My only stipulation would be that he ALWAYS comes back to me when he is done being leased/ used. *Please let me know if this interests you at all. Currently he is boarded in Bristol, TN!! Not sure if this is allowed as this is my first post but my email is carman_liz@yahoo.com if anyone is interested!!! Trying to keep within a days drive of him if possible!!

Located between Orlando and Ocala… 20ish years competition experience (mostly HJ), some at A circuit level and I spent several years riding and teaching for a living, including 3 years coaching the UC Davis IHSA team. Most recently brought my one-eyed OTTB up from X-rails to BN USEA events and 3’ eq/jumpers on the NorCal “B” circuit prior to moving to FL without him. Am jonesing for some pony time. Love youngsters, love sensitive mares, love TBs of all types. I’m also a BHS certified Intermediate Stable Manager and Assistant Instructor and a veterinarian.
My time is a little bit limited but I am reliable, tidy, and have a ton of references if needed. PM me if you’re anywhere that sounds like it might be driveable for me!
