Need a rider for my 8YO green 15.1H registered QH gelding.

Brought this sweet guy home to be a family/guest horse, but he needs a more regular job and trail experience. I prefer to ride English and don’t have the time or interest to regularly school him. He has a good foundation, hailing from the breed/train program at Feather River College. Last two owners mostly let him sit at boarding facilities, best I can tell. Since bringing him home, he has become herd-bound to my mare, who is the only horse within his sight lines. (He is not pastured with the mare, but they share a fence line.) He is happy in a small group or with one other horse, not so happy alone.

We are in an equestrian neighborhood with a community arena, several miles of trail looping around, and access to both covered and uncovered round pens. Currently he will hack alone the 1/2 mi to the arena but gets worked up on the way home (no rearing or bucking, wants to bolt). Distracted when other horses are in the arena. My goal is to find an intermediate rider to work him regularly (ground school maintenance a must) - to ride/trailer out in small groups AND work on his solo confidence. Athletic horse with lateral movements, can handle obstacles, gates, carry a flag, etc. Open to someone looking for a Western Dressage or drill team partner, could support some trailering to local lessons/events.

I’ve recently relocated back to Texas from Pennsylvania and am looking for opportunities to ride. I am an experienced dressage rider with my USDF Bronze Medal and have shown through PSG. From 2013-April 2018 I worked as an assistant to a GP trainer.

I took the last year off from riding due to life circumstances and am looking to get back in the saddle. I grew up in Texas so I have experience riding Western and trail riding. I’m just looking for a way to spend some horse time that doesn’t involve lots of horse showing and the serious expensive of having a competitive dressage horse.

Hello! Riderless horse in Siler City, NC. Horse is a greenbroke 7 year old (started by a professional but doesn’t have a rider), is about 15.1 hh and is of unrecorded breeding. Pretty average mover (it seems, hard to tell) but over tiny jumps - OH the effort and knees! OOOHHHHH! Currently goes Western but can also go English.

Barn has an arena with lights, and a quality Western (NH) resident trainer and a hunter/jumper/dressage trainer (actual h/j rider who has her silver medal by qualifying on multiple horses) who comes in for lessons. You’d have lots of options! There is a path around the barn and local walk-to trails you can explore. The barn also has a formal horse obstacle course.

The owner is looking for a rider interested in an on-site lease. Potentially off-site to the right person. Rider can develop the horse for any discipline. Horse is a nurse-mare foal who has had a great start and green, but is undeveloped under saddle. Holy cow, his knees (I say!). He’s an attractive guy who is palomino and could be a good mover with regular work and understanding of aids. Professionally started by one trainer and ridden by the other. The owners’ daughter was to ride this horse but…she decided she liked boys more than horses.

West Chicagoland, IL - Arabian/Saddlebred Gelding Looking for Shareboarder

I’m looking for a shareboarder for my 17-year-old, ~15-hand Arabian/Saddlebred gelding. He’s boarded in the Wayne/St. Charles/South Elgin area - the farm has an indoor and outdoor arena, wooded trails on site, and access to several additional miles of trails and an equestrian-friendly forest preserve.

He does need an experienced and confident rider, because he occasionally gets nervous if there’s a lot of activity or loud noises, and he looks to his rider for reassurance. He’s a sweetheart and a goofball, extremely eager to please, and very smart. Once he knows what you’re asking him to do, he remembers it forever.

I do trail riding, trot poles, homemade obstacle courses, small (1’ or less) jumps, lateral work, and ground work with him. He also knows a couple of tricks, and could easily be taught more. He really enjoys being in the company of his people.

Horseless rider- Milwaukee/ Northern Chicago suburbs

My gelding is struggling with soundness/ navicular issues. My background was h/j, but the last few years dressage. Before buying my gelding I spent a long time riding whatever was available including young horses, broodmares coming back into work, and newly off the track tbs. I don’t jump anymore. I’d just like to ride a little while we try to get him more comfortable. I might be open to a shareboard if the horse/times/ location was right, or if you’d prefer I ride in lessons with your trainer, would be happy to pay for them. I am only available Thursdays, Saturdays, and evenings after about 7pm, I can never predict what time I’ll get out of work.
