Riderless Horse: between Winona MN and Lacrosse WI

17 y/o TB mare, 15.2. Well schooled in hunters, dressage- has competed successfully locally, evented and foxhunted as well. Sane and sound, fun to ride- not a deadhead but pretty quiet. Easy to handle, sweet natured etc- I am 8 months pregnant and its been bitterly cold since Thanksgiving so she hasn’t been ridden for approx 3 months. Needs a little longing in the winter if not ridden much, never needs it otherwise.

Barn is small private facility- can bring in choice of trainers. Indoor is on the small side but can set up a few jumps, outdoor very small but there’s fields to ride in and miles of trails when it warms up.

Would love someone to come and ride 2-3 days/week even after I have baby- could be great long term arrangement for right person. Would have opportunity to show- we have a nice local H/J & dressage circuit, within 3 hours of a couple of recognized events as well.

Thanks!

Horseless Rider in Winter Park COLORADO

Hi,

I am an adult re-rider … I am thinking of buying a horse but thought I would check here first to see if I could help someone out by keeping a riderless horse for a few months (or whatever it works out to be.)

I am an OK rider (or was, years ago) and just need to get back into riding by riding! And I promise I will not hang on its mouth! (My personal pet peeve …) Anyway, my horse management skills exceed my riding skills, FWIW.

I do lower-level dressage work and a lot of hacking out/trail riding on mountain trails.

If anyone needs a break from their horsey bills for a bit, please let me know!

Also, I am looking for a dead-broke kids pony too (to purchase or lease.)

Thanks, guys.

occasional riderless horse in VA

I’d love if experienced rider was close that could ride with me some during days during the week. Husband sometimes rides evenings and weekends.
I have an Irish Draught and a Shire, so need to be comfortable with the big guys!
Private 500 acre w/ trails (no ring).

Horseless Rider East of Richmond, Virginia

Posting again… I got some lovely PM’s last time I posted, but decided to take an offer from a local barn. Some things changed and now I am horseless again.

I am a decent rider, although I’m not extraordinary. I am comfortable going English w/t/c, jumping 2’3ish and trail riding (including foxhunting- I occasionally go with Colonial, although not a member). I am comfortable on a slightly green horse, but not an extremely hot one. I could possibly do some work around your barn if need be. I am pretty flexible even though I’m a student.

Unfortunately I can’t travel a long distance to ride (can’t afford the gas!!).

Thanks

for experienced riders

Has anyone considered contacting your local rescue to see if they need someone to exercise or even train their horses? I can tell you that there is a great need for that. You can get your horsey fix in at the same time to help the horses and the rescues. There are rescues all over the country, lot’s of nice horses, second chance OTTBs, auction rescues, all types.

Horseless rider on Eastern shore

Looking for some extra ride time on the eastern shore of md. Eventing, Hunter/jumper background. PM me if interested!

Riderless Horses in Carroll County, Maryland

Looking for someone who is willing to ride green sales horses, mainly OTTB’s.
The ideal candidate would be willing to do barn chores, ie cleaning stalls, tack, pulling manes, etc in exchange for riding and free lessons. Great opportunity for someone looking to further their skills and advance w a growing hunter/jumper barn.

Riderless horse (soon to be)

I have a 16.3 hand, TB, gelding, 14 yo
We’ve been doing training level eventing for a while, is qualified for a training 3 day, and ready to move up to prelim. I’m going to start grad school in August. I’d like to find him a YR, AA, or PCer that would like a horse to move up to prelim on. He needs a quiet, confident rider because he can be tense/nervous in dressage.

He’s SUPER talented, don’t be fooled by his age. He had a late start, he’s totally sound and ready to go. Located in Carmel, IN. Willing to relocate him (anywhere?) for the perfect situation.

Please PM me. Thanks!

still looking for rider in Ocala FL for my Irish Draught

Would love to find and intermediate to experienced rider to help get my guy on an excercize plan. He’s overweight right now and I just am not able to ride him enough. We have 2 nice rings to ride in and some big fields as well as trails. Am willing to let a trusted person bring him to shows or trail ride him as well. He’s a good boy, but needs refreshing on his canter departs and straightness. He’s a big boy, but I have a 3 step mounting block for you to use lol!

Horse/ponyless rider

Hi everyone,
I’m in Tampa, FL (newly here from MI). My (retired) horse will be shipping down in a couple months, but in the meantime I’m going through withdrawal. I’m experienced in pretty much everything but sidesaddle  Most of my training is in dressage. I have references too!

Oh, and I’m small enough for ponies!

Thanks!

You know, I really need to read for comprehension, what a dodo I am!
Sorry.

I just sent you an email and copied my friend in MI. Hoping you can help each other.

You have a PM.

Looking for extra rides in the NEPA area, I’m 22 and have reliable transportation, my own tack, etc. Lots of experience with greenies/babies/“difficult” horses. Mostly hunter/jumper background but I have done some eventing and dressage. Independent hand/seat, very forgiving and kind. I have references. I’m DYING to get back into the saddle, thank you!

HORSELESS! :frowning:

Hi, I am a college student here in Richmond looking for a close horse to ride and exercise.
I am experienced, having ridden for 10 years in pleasure, hunterjumpers, and dressage.

PLEASE PM me if you are looking for someone to ride with, or exercise/train a horse.

I am reliable and have own transportation, although I am hoping to not travel too far.

If anyone needs a junior rider in NY, CT, or FL, I would be more than happy to help!! PM if you want more information!

Horseless Rider in Northern Baltimore county

I’m a college student in Virginia but will be traveling back home for the summer and would like some extra ride time. I’m 19 and have about 9experience in hunter/jumper. I have also worked with many “diffiucult” horses and love hacking, trail-riding, flatting, anything. Please let me know if you need anyone exercised this summer (beginning of May - end of August). Also, I would definitely be willing to work around the farm in exchange for rides!

More detailed info. in the giveaways forum, and a picture, but I just noticed this thread here! Click here to read the drama-filled original thread:  http://www.chronicleforums.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=189889

My mare is just absolutely wonderful. Sound, in regular work, kind, well trained, great temperment, saint of a horse. Great ground manners. Shown successfully through 2nd level; schooled through 3rd level…this is a great opportunity for the right person! Showing a possibility. She needs more time and attention than I can give right now!

If you are an experienced, kind, independent hand/seat type rider, I am fine with someone not having a ton of pure dressage experience.

Shared board expenses/farrier costs. I will pay for insurance, vet, supplements, emergency costs, supplies, tack, etc.

PM for more info~Thanks!
