riderless horses and horseless riders?

Parker, Colorado - my TB could use another ride or two a week. He’s 16 years old, 16.2 hands, very cute chestnut with 4 socks and a blaze, nice forward mover. I am bringing him back to work after a long break for both of us (injuries for both of us and I had a baby). He can sometimes be pushy and rude on the ground, though has always been well behaved under saddle. He is a jumper/eventer with, I am discovering, some very solid dressage training. I could use some help on Mon, Tues, and Wed’s if anyone wants to go for a hack on a nice schoolmaster type.

Horseless rider - Bedford, MA area

Horseless (well semi-horseless as I’m part-leasing a dressage horse) rider in Bedford, MA area. Would love to find someone local with an extra horse that likes to trail ride and maybe do some hunter paces.

riderless horse, Ocala FL - Irish Draught gelding

Bumping up and hoping for a rider for my 7 year old Irish Draught gelding. He’s 17.h of fun and I just haven’t been riding him regularly. We both need some motovation! Nice riding areas and even folks to ride with at the neighbors. He’s a total sweetheart and really fun to be with! You can even show him or take him to the Greenway or other trails if it’d s good match.

Here he is: http://s74.photobucket.com/albums/i245/wtryan/Jeffrey/?action=view&current=100_3157.jpg

horseless rider(s)

I am a horseless rider currently located in Montgomery County PA. My friend and I are currently graduate students trying to ride whenever we can. We have years of riding experience in our past however it has become difficult over the last few years to ride regularly since we entered adulthood and went back to school.

We currently take a riding lesson together on Saturdays however we were hoping to find someplace to ride a second time during the week to get back in riding shape. We have experience riding hunters and dressage. Maybe someone has horses or large ponies that need schooling? We aren’t looking for anything crazy just some flat work for an hour or so perhaps. We also love to groom and can give your horses lots of attention!

Montgomery County, Bucks County or anywhere near Philly area might work. Let me know, I can give more detailed info on our riding and horse experience.

thanks!

Riderless Horse MA/CT

I have a young Oldenburg mare that I am looking for a half lease for (cost only). She is currently boarded in Northampton, MA but could be moved to central CT. She is an amazing hunter prospect who is well under way. I am looking for an experienced junior or adult rider who is interested is riding and showing this year.

I will be moving this spring and don’t have the time this girl needs right now. Great opportunity for the right rider!!

More information and videos available.

Horseless Rider in Northfield, MN

I’ve been riding for about 10 years. I’ve done some lower-level eventing, and foxhunted through pony club. I’ve leased horses for the past few years, but I’m off at college now and haven’t found anywhere nearby that’s in my budget really. I’d love to get more into dressage, so I’m definitely willing to school your horse in flatwork. Please let me know, I need my horse fix! lol

Horseless rider in NYC and semi-horseless rider in Suffolk County, LI

need a rider in Suffolk County (Long Island) or NYC anyone?
I’d work in exchange for rides! I love to groom at shows too!

Riderless Thoroughbred in St. Louis area

I have a 7 year old 16.1 Thoroughbred that I’d like to lease out for the year. He is sound, sane, and is great to trail ride in a group or on his own. He’s jumped up to 2’6" though it has been a while since he’s jumped since we’ve been focusing on our dressage. I’ll be showing him 1st level at the end of April. He’s been foxhunting a couple of times and has even been in a parade. He is super sweet and friendly but I need to lease him out as I am a senior in highschool and I’m going to take a year off to work abroad before going to college, so I need to find someone to lease him for the year. I’m looking to free lease him beginning in early June. I’m willing to transport him to wherever he is wanted, he does not need to stay in St. Louis. Please PM me. Thanks!

Riderless Horse - Southern Maryland

I have a 5 year old OTTB, 15.3, green but cooperative under saddle at small private barn. Nice forward horse, and very sweet. Looking for advanced beginner. Owner has little to no time M-F, as well as a ‘problem horse’ that needs most of my attention. Small riding paddock, jumps, and access to a short trail area. Willing to trailer to shows, etc., just for the fun of it. PM if interested. Must sign release.

Horseless Rider in Lexington KY

Hi, I am looking for a horse to ride in the Lexington KY area. I am a college student and have a lot of experience starting young horses or riding horses who aren’t always easy to ride. I have had to leave my horses with my family in SC and am going crazy without something to ride! If anyone has any leads on a horse who needs a rider please let me know!
Thanks!

semi-horseless rider NCC Delaware

I’m a middle aged semi-horseless re-rider looking for a second horse to ride. I’m currently riding a friend’s horse but his ultimate job is to become a beginner level schoolie so we’re doing lots of loose rein, slow trot, little leg, etc. He’ll start being worked into her lesson program soon so I won’t be riding him as often.

I’ve been without a horse now for about 10 years and although I’m seriously considering getting another one I’d like to get some more riding time in to make sure I really am ready to make the commitment to getting another horse.

I started out riding hunt seat as a child and then switched to dressage as an adult. I am somewhat rusty as I just started riding again at the end of last year. Most of the time the brain still remembers what I want to do, getting the body to cooperate takes a bit more effort.

I love flat work so if you’re in NCC DE or nearby in Maryland and happen to have an idle or underused reasonably sane (I don’t bounce too well at my age) horse that could benefit from being used 2-3x/week let me know. I’m not in a big hurry and prefer to work slowly to put down a good solid foundation at one level before proceeding to the next.

I can be reached by PM or email at mswillie@aol.com

Thanks

I gave up.

I found myself between a rock and a hard place and I was forced to give in since I couldn’t find a rider so I am paying someone to come up and help keep both of my horses exercized, especially my fat mare. At least I am going to TRY to keep this up for as long as I can, because I can barely afford this. :frowning: Everyone knows how the economy is so I don’t know how long this will last. :frowning:

I do not want another year to go by and see both of my horses as pasture ornaments. Last year, thanks to Lyme, I couldn’t ride either of my horses. My mare got HUGE because of this. :frowning: AND I had no extra $$$$$$$ to pay someone. Thankfully, I have a little extra this year, but I do not know how long that will last. This sucks. :frowning:

Craigslist it! I’m sure some horseless girl in high school or college will be GLAD to come ride horses for you. I know if I was near you, I’d be allll over it! My parents cut riding out of their budget (which I can’t blame them for, but still stinks) and I’m sure other families are having to do the same.

Uhm, While I’m posting, anyone have a riderless horse in New Kent Virginia?
