riderless horses and horseless riders?

Thank you, Ginger Jumper!

I’m still trying to figure this out. =0

Riderless horses in Portola Valley CA. SF bay are

I have my jumper mare listed in the giveaways forum looking for a free lease situation for her. Her current lessor is getting a divorce and I’d love to find someone closer to my area that is interested in a free full or half lease.

She has competes at the AA level successfully, schooled cross country, done hunter paces, and currently is working at 2nd level dressage. All her info us photos and videos is in the giveaways thread.

I have her half sister, a 16h bay mare that I would love to find a half lessor for as well. She does not jump and has some time off but is a very fancy dressage horse and trail rides.

Let ne know if anyone may be interested!

We are located closer to Harrisburg,Pa , than Philly. Are you still in that location ? We have a sweet App mare to ride/ work with, if you’re still hunting for horses:)

Riderless Horse in Central Pa. ( Harrisburg )

We raise Percherons and also teach riding/ driving lessons. Thus, there is a sweet Appaloosa mare needing some miles. She’s got a bit of an attitude from being ridden badly ( not an idiot, just no beginners please) by her former owners.

Opportunities to work with draft horses and to learn to drive as well…

Horseless rider in West Stockbridge, MA

It was just discovered that my mare has an injury that has brought about her (very) early retirement. This is a huge disappointment, and I’m not in a state where I can afford a second horse, nor can I afford a lease in addition to my mare, so I’m hoping that someone might have a horse who needs some additional exercise a few times a week? It would offer me some distraction, and I can offer your horse caring attention and exercise.

I’m located in West Stockbridge, MA - about as west in MA as you can get, and right on the NY border. I’m a highly responsible, conscientious, safety-conscious adult with 17 years of riding experience. I ride mostly English, but would be happy to branch out to Western - I have had a little Western riding experience in the past and enjoyed it very much. I’m a quiet rider with gentle hands and patience (but can absolutely be firm when needed). I have my own health insurance and would be happy to sign a release. I’d describe my riding level as an advanced intermediate, possibly low-level advanced - horses with “quirks” and some behavior issues are fine, but at this point I’m not looking to ride a chronic bolter or a rearer. I can provide excellent references.

Though I can’t pay, I’d be happy to contribute barn work (barn sitting is also a possibility if you should need), equine massage (I’m a certified equine massage therapist), and even some equine photography (I’m learning, and seem to have a talent for it). It would be so nice to find a horse who needs some exercise so that I can get back in the saddle a bit. Thank you!

Looks like no one has used this forum in a while, but I will post anyway.

I am a horseless rider located in Winston-Salem, NC (I am willing to drive to Greensboro or Yadkinville area as well!). I rode hunters and jumpers with my own two TB’s back in the day, but since graduating college (3 years ago) I have been catch riding (until the day I can afford my own horse again!). I am not looking specifically for a hunter/jumper type, any equine will work! I have 15+ years of experience with horses, and I am absolutely willing to work for a ride! I am an excellent stall cleaner, horse feeder and barn sweeper!

Contact me if you or someone you know can help me find a ride!

I will be looking for a new helper in mid August. I have a barn of 8 horses. I’m in Dayton Ohio. PM me if you’re interested in riding.

The mods posted a more recent thread. It’s a “sticky” and you can find it at the top of the off course page.

Riderless TB Gelding in Orange Park Acres, California

17.1h 25 year old Active Senior Citizen Thoroughbred is looking for some additional love 1-2x a week.
My big boy has evented in the past, but sorry to say his jumping days are over. He loves to be exercised and still has unlimited amounts of energy. I think he forgets how old he is sometimes.

I am looking for somebody with experience, to ride him once or twice a week.
I ride him 1-2x a week but he needs a little bit more love, which I currently can not give him.

He would be great for somebody who used to own a horse but doesn’t want the financial burden, somebody who wants to hone in on their ground work and practice entry level dressage or just simply be around horses. He is very lovable and sweet.

he lives right in the middle of trail central and has 4 of his best friends around him with whom you could trail ride.
Let me know if you are interest

Riderless Horse

My 16yo, 16.1hh OTTB gelding would love to teach someone the ropes of dressage or eventing! He is trained and competed through Third Level and Prelim; now limited to Novice level eventing but still capable of Second/Third Level when in shape. Has been leased to a Novice rider for the past few months who just finished second on him BN at Poplar Place’s schooling show. Not for a beginner, and not a packer, but good schoolmaster for intermediate rider or better. Located in Watkinsville, GA just south of Athens.

Horseless rider

I am borne raised and trained in Germany. Dressage rider now living in Westchester NY. Looking to find someone who would like their horse ridden, trained or just moved once or twice a week.

SnC, there is a sticky (pinned to the top of this page) that is an updated version of this thread. Better to look and post there.

Hi! I know you posted this quite a while ago but I am wondering if you still live in the Area. I would love to ride with you. PM me if you are still searching.
