What a great showing for the Roc USA family. Congrats to all.
Renowned tied Grand Ch. Future Hunter Cap Challenge
Renowned & Elizabeth Boyd were Future hunter Camp & tied for Grand Champion in the Future Hunters @ Capital Challenge.
This is a 5 yo that was not IHF registered. He is by Roc USA. He seems to be competeing with the BNT as a pregreen horse.
How cool is that!!!
Thought I would post some freakishly similiar pictures of mother and son.
I was looking through old picture of Gracie as a 3 year old and it is the spitting image of Ace!
His face is one of the few things that he has in common with his mother. He got his bombproof nature from his papa!
jumperrider, where are all your updated pictures? Did they go to the Old NA inspection?
Thought I would update on my Roc USA colt, well now gelding.
He is great. About 14.2 and 10 months old. These picture were today. It was 75 degree today, so I thought I would take advantage! We still have to work on him standing still and not closing his eyes in all the pictures, but he is getting better.
How is everyone elses Rocs this year? Can everyone update with pics! I want to see the twins! (jumperrider!)
He is such a character. He gets turned out in the ring and likes to jump the jumps by himself. He is a riot!
Awwww… he’s really getting big now! Cute shots. And I’m REALLY jealous of all that green grass.
Here is the what I call the classic Ace picture. Almost everyone is like this! he does actually have all 4 feet on the ground which doesn’t happen often. Closing his eyes and biting me, the lead rope or whatever he can get his mouth on is also a must!
He can stand in the most akward positions. We are really going to have to work on that before his first HB show!
It is a learning experience for me to have a baby and he definantly keeps me on my toes!
OMG, he got big!
Forget the green grass…how about the 75 degrees???
I can’t believe he’s a yearling almost. Very cute!
I can’t believe he is a yearling already either! This year has gone so fast!
I need to make an album of all his pictures. It is funny because I have all these similiar pictures of him doing silly things all at different ages.
He has some crazy growth spurts too and was so lanky and now he is slowing down and is a chubby little thing! I am going to have to cut down some of his food! He is so narrow from the front, but looks fat from the side!
Here is his favorite place to hang. He likes to jump up and down the burm all day. I really need to get a video of it.
Holy cow that is one BIG boy! The first few it was hard to tell but the one with you in it (assuming it is you Samotis) is really in perspective!
You should make yourself an account on Flickr and post his pics there… it’s real easy to use and doesn’t have a ton of ads screaming in your face like some of the other photo sites do.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Nancy Whitehead on her wonderful ROC USA daughter, Rendezvous 22 who, with her talented amateur rider, Nick Novak is currently leading the YJC 6 Year Olds in Wellington!

Great job everybody!
ACE is so lovely!! He is going to be amazing!
WOW!!! Big congrats to the Roc USA team…
Way to go Team Roc. I really enjoy checking the results from the sunny south and so consistently see Roc’s kids in the ribbons. Keep up the good work Nancy, Nick and the rest of the crew.
Well, as most of you probably know. Ace had surgery in Feb. He is doing fine and today was his first day out back in the arena.
This just shows the temperament he has. He walked all around the ring. Looked at the jumps, smelled some poop and then picked up a canter and cantered over all the poles in the arena!
He is hilarious. He looks really good considering. He lost all his muscle, but he will gain that back slowly. His belly also looks a little funny from the surgery, but that should also go away.
here is a picture and a link to the video of his first few minutes in the arena.
Of course I missed the cantering poles because I accidently turned the camera off when I was supposed to be using the video!!!
I will try again tomorrow!!

He looks great! Glad to see he was really crazy from being all cooped up!
June 09 Update on Ace
Ace is goind great! I would love to see updated pictures on all the 2008 babies!
We are just starting to teach him to walk and trot on the lunge line and walk around in a bridle.
Today he was getting bored with the usual walk around the ring so I decided to trot him over a jump.
I had a head start and just jumped it and he following with perfect form! He was then very proud of himself and decided to canter a circle and he jumped it on his own!!!
I am loving this guy. Hunter Derby watch out. I will be all over the derbies in 6 or 7 years!!!
Here is a picture from last week… Isn’t he so handsome. He is 15.2 by the way!
well he certainly is going to be a good jumper. He jumped the jump again last night by himself. He was so proud of himself! Now why can’t I ever get this on video?
No one has any updated pictures?
Jumperrider, I know you have some!!!
We are back from Del Mar and came back with some great ribbons!
He was first in the yearling colt and geldings class for Sally B Wheeler. There were 2 judges both of which show and breed top hunter breeding horses and ponies.
He was not in top condition like some of the seasoned horses showing out there, but next year we will be ready! He was not as fat as most the horses there and he still won. It goes to show that quality still shines through even if they aren’t pig fat!
I am very proud of my guy. He has never been to a show and he was excellent. He lunged in the morning great. Better then some of the grown horses out there! He looked fantastic and I had a great time!
So all you East coast Roc baby owners, I represented Roc on the west coast well!
Samotis, he looks very handsome and a very good weight. Major congrats on your win, that’s fabulous!
I can see why he would win, even at his age he looks like the kind of hunter that would be perfect to ride. I can only imagine how nice he’ll be at 3 or 4.
