Kaye, don’t you have a Roc baby too? How is he/she doing? Do you have any updated pics?
It will be interesting to see what Gracie’s baby will look like. It should be bay, but not sure how much white. Her dad was a blood bay, and her mother was chestnut with socks and a blaze. She has a stripe on her face and 1 anklet.
One foal? Heck, I’ve got a whole herd of 'em! Well, ok, I have three.

Roc’s dam was a chestnut so if your mare’s dam was also chestnut, you do have a 25% chance of ending up with a chestnut, in which case I will have to come and steal it because I have been dying for a chestnut out of my favorite (chestnut) mare and she keeps giving me bays 
I don’t care what color the baby is, as long as it is happy and healthy!
Bay with 4 white socks and a pink nose would be nice! I love when they have a white nose! Sooo cute!
I would take a plain chestnut too.

Well we finally got a good picture of Rinka. She doesn’t like opsing so here’s a shot of her practicing her pirouettesin the field.

I haven’t seen too many of his babies with no white. What did her mom look like? Do you plan on keeping all your babies?
Rinka is not quite solid colored. She has socks behind (hidden by the mud) and a funny off centered snip. Her mother doesn’t have alot more color than she does. Three little white socks and a small star. We’ve had all extremes one solid brown mare has had two foals by Roc, one has a big blaze and four stockings. The full sister has a small star and two socks. One solid brown mare had a bright chestnut with a bald face and four stockings. Go figgure! Thinking about it my my mare is a fairly typically marked T.B.
The mare I bred Roc to is bay with one little baby spotted sock and a blaze. Her dad was all bay, no white at all. I have no idea what her mom looked like, except that she was a chestnut.
It is cool to see so many of his babies. They all have cool markings! I saw one that almost looked like a paint, out of a warmblood mare with little white!
I am so excited to see what color I get! (9+ months and counting!)
My Roc USA daughter Rinka made her show debut last week at Ledges and was reserve best young horse. I was thrilled with that because we had decided to take her the night before. She was great! She just took every thing in stride.
So we decided to try again this weekend and she was CHAMPION Best Young Horse! This might not seem like much but, Rinka lives in a field 24/7 and there were 9 others in the division. She is just the coolest, most sensible 3 year old I think I’ve ever seen.
Prior to last weekend the only time she had been off the farm was as a weanling when she went to her Keuring. Some one asked about temperment in Roc offspring I think it’s the best. Smart, sane and willing. Thanks for reading my brag. I guess I’m just a proud mom.

I noticed that the Roc offspring are very smart and quiet. I saw a few babies in Kentucky and was very impressed, in fact, that was my deciding factor. I wish I lived in an area where I could see more of his offspring. I don’t know of anyone on the West coast that has any of his babies. Maybe I will be the first to start a trend.

My mare is doing great and eating enough for 4 horses! She is only 4 months pregnant! Cant wait!
Anyone out there with new Roc babies? Just curious if anyone has seen them showing this year at all? I get to go to Kentucky for a few days during IHF finals, so I wonder how many will be there.
I suppose next year I will have the earliest due. Feb. 20th:D
There is an inspection at the barn on Sunday & I heard 6 Roc USA babies are coming in for it. I am excited to see them!
I also stopped by the Lamplight show in June (week 1) & watched HB. Saw Gribby’s mare for the 1st time (very nice!!
) & saw Roulette 22 who I have seen since she was a yearling. She has matured nicely as well (she’s now 3).
Let me know how they are! I don’t think that anyone has bred to Roc on the West Coast recently, so I don’t think I will be seeing any.

It’s my 1st inspection I am attending so I am excited to see & learn how it works.
Make sure to take notes:D I have always owned TB’s, so going to an inspection next year for my baby will also be my first! I hope to go to a couple to learn this year at least! Have fun!
Hey Giddy-up- Thanks for the complement. Rinka really seems to like this showing thing. She was at Ledges last week and won her class. She’ll be there again tomorrow after warming up with her first trail ride under saddle. She even went through the WATER! Hopefully she’ll behave for Nancy tomorrow.
ok–I went, I saw, I took notes, I got pictures!!!
First off–I would attend as many inspections as possible & ask many questions before taking your own foal there. Just to be prepared & understand so you can get the best score possible for your baby. Maybe even have a experienced handler do the duty for you. Just sitting there watching I could tell it’s about handling & really being able to show that baby off the best way possible while managing the mare too.
The babies were adorable! They have funny antics & bounce & play around. Some ate sand. Some kicked out. Some ran away from their momma’s & others stayed close by. Some jumped the poles for the triangle. Some you could catch & others refused to be. :lol:
Roc had 6 foals there & 3 went premium including high score filly & high score colt! Rodriguez TR (Turtle Rock Farm) was the colt & Roc’s Anala (Mary Jane Koltse) was the filly.

ROC’s Dam
Hello Everyone,
I own ROC’s dam Fuse’e and talk to Nancy every now and then. She has done a great job with this stallion. I did not breed ROC, but purchased the dam when he was 2 years old. I rode her for a few years before making her a broodmare again.
Everyone knows Idocus, but it’s good to have info on the dam as well. I have 2 more sons from her. One is a 3 year old stallion by Faust Z (who is not available for breeding, so this is not an advertisement), and the other is a 2 year old gelding by Cathalido. She has never produced any OCD, club feet or any defect of any type. She transmits a strong back, good gaits, strong muscle, excellent legs, and sound feet. I particularly like the backs on her babies. The backs are wide and strong even in the case of a more refined horse like my Faust Z son. I know ROC’s is this way too. It should make for good mating to TBs. The mare and her sons are very robust horses. I don’t have to pamper them to keep them sound.
