Here is a pic I just took today. He is shedding out on his face alot. Doesn’t he look like his mama!?
We had a Roc grandson join our herd of Roc’s last night. He is out of a Roc daughter (Midwest Champion Oldenberg last year) by Parabol. Mom was a maiden and really kept us guessing but, came thru a 10:00 last night. “Luke” is HUGE and seems quite strong. He is bay with 4 high whites and a blaze. He is wonderful and is at least as big as the filly born last week to Rudee’s mare. Pics from the proud mom as soon as she gets some sleep. Me I’m just the doting Auntie.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, ALL of them…Is Roc here in Ocala?
I didn’t think that Roc showed anymore. Wasn’t cost effective to the owner after they saw how well he produced. I would like to see him in person some day. I loved the 4 I saw in Kentucky last year, but still haven’t seen the man in person:)
Look forward to seeing all the new pics.
Grandbaby
Here’s a link to a photo of the newest “grandson” of Roc’s.
Baby is by Parabol - looks like he got his chrome from grandpa

What a nice baby. It looks like the genes are staying true in the next generation.! Congrats on the lovely, healthy little man.
And he’s my favorite color…bay with chrome.
Beautiful baby, and I adore Parabol. Big congratulations.
He is stunning!!! Congrats! :D:D
Hey everyone! Put more pictures up of Viva and Reno and also Friendly Holly had a filly about a week ago we named Rusalka barn name Lucy, unfortunately Vivas recipient mare stepped on Revival and has to be on stall rest for a little while so i don’t have any pics of him outside yet…anyways all the babies are awesome and such an addiction! Hope you enjoy…the pics are at http://community.webshots.com/album/563459770bDpsdb
Great Pictures!
Your grass is so beautiful! I wish my Roc colt could grow up with your guys!
Sorry to hear about Revival. Hope that it isn’t serious!
These foals sure are work! I tell you, Ace does something to himself at least once a week.
He has choked once, got kicked in the shoulder by mom, had an abscess on his sheath and a good chunk out of his ankle! Lets just say he keeps me on my toes! He is so smart and a joy to be around, I am glad that he bounces back quickly!
But, he is the love of my life!
This is only the start. You have easily 3, maybe 4 more years of these little oopsies happening. And if you plan on showing in HB–double that!
Oh tell me about it!
Today was trailer day. Other then a smashed hand (mom) we got them in the trailer and around the block, so I suppose it was a success, but man that was alot of work!!
He is so darn cute though…
Add another booboo to the list! He came in today with a front tooth missing. Lovely. His new name is the toothless wonder.
He is looking great though…
Does anyone know where the heck Natalie Prentice is? I have been trying to get a hold of her!
here are some pics of Ace today. Don’t you love his yak look? He is going to be so dark when he finally sheds! Seal Brown they say;)
He is lovely Sam! Too funny about the missing tooth. At least his is a baby tooth. My boy knocked out 1 of his permanent teeth at a young age…:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
I saw a Roc yearling last week at Ledges win on her 1st outing–congrats to her owner & Nancy!! And the 3 YO looked fabulous as well–very grown up & has matured nicely.
I know Natalie has been going crazy at work ( her real job, you know) and has started secretaring(?) shows. I shopuld see her tonight or tomorrow , I’ll make sure she get ahold of you.
He is so beautiful! “Yak look”??? I don’t know what you are speaking of! Do you think he looks more like mom or dad? His mom is so pretty herself and I think he has her face! Is he her first baby?
i have only seen Roc in pictures so it is hard to say how much Ace looks like him.(face wise) He does have Gracies face and certainly her eyes! His white is mostly Roc because his mom and moms dad had almost no white, just 1 little hind ermine.
I am very happy with him. I think he is gorgeous! Whether he turns out to be a hunter or jumpers, he looks to be very athletic and already loves to jump stuff in the field.
I can’t wait until next year until I can actually show him! The Yak look I was referring to is all the patches of hair he is losing. He is black and sleek on his neck and then has fuzz all over the rest of his body. It is slowly shedding, but it certainly looks funny!
He is so independant at 3 months, we are starting to consider weaning him in a couple of weeks!
Oh and yes Ace is Gracie’s first baby. She has great TB jumping breeding. Her father has sired a couple of Rolex horses as well as jumpers, she herself was a fancy hunter, so I figured why not see what she produces!
There were quite a few Roc babies in the HB at Ledges this past weekend… I took a bunch of shots and posted them [URL=“http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikkilivermore/sets/72157605397714057/”]here.
I’ll try and post some more tomorrow.
Thanks for the pics!
