Rolex Water Picture?

I was trying to locate the famous picture from a few years back of the rider on the brown horse dropping down into the water jump at Kentucky, looking cool as a cucumber.

Could someone please refresh my memory on the name of the rider or horse so I can find it?

Thanks in advance.

This one?

It definitely has to be Andrew Nicholson, he has quite a few, cool as a cucumber shots. Like the one above, hereā€™s another!

If itā€™s the one Iā€™m thinking of, itā€™s the one @LadyB posted of Andrew Nicholson on a chestnut horse whose name is escaping me.

Want to say it was from 2013-2016ish but offhand I donā€™t remember now.

EDIT: And then the one in the link is Nicholson on Quimbo who is a dark bay/black horse. Now Iā€™m thinking it could be either photo as Iā€™ve seen both make the rounds.

That was it. Thank you very much!

Although he certainly looks equally relaxed on the chestnut in the other picture. Donā€™t ask me how. :woman_shrugging:

Pfft just a teensy 6ā€™6" drop. Whoā€™s worried?

(Total sarcasm :upside_down_face: I would worry :flushed:)

He did a ā€œWe Are High Performanceā€ podcast and it was fantastic.

He definitely had a calm and confident presence. Very soft spoken and seemed like a lovely human.

Yes, that was the gorgeous and talented Quimbo! (He was black, FTR )

Andrew is the ultimate cool customer when it comes to riding drop fences; a comment I heard at the time was: ā€œIā€™m not that relaxed sitting in my recliner!ā€

Iā€™m wishing I could remember the chestnutā€™s name in the other photo as I thiiiiink years ago when I was at Rolex I mightā€™ve been walking near some of the barns and snapped a photo of that same horse (Iā€™ve probably lost it since) being groomed/getting a bath outside.

Did get a photo probably around 2016 of Bunnie Sexton jumping Head of the Lake because it was pouring down rain and there wasnā€™t much of a crowd so I was able to get right up by the ropes and get a good view.

The chestnut looks as relaxed as the rider, with those airplane ears!

Could it have been this shot?

Now you have me wishing I could find my old Rolex photos to see if that was the horse I had a picture of. It was definitely one of Andrew Nicholsonā€™s horses, think between about '14 and '16.

Might go digging through my Facebook photos as I bet I posted it there.

EDIT: Actually found the photo posted on my social media yeeears back, it was Avebury and 2014. There was a chestnut standing near him but no clue which horse that was.

Heā€™s an obnoxious human being.

Really!!! I guess everyone isnā€™t how they seem on camera then.

Yup, thatā€™s it!

I just loved that horse (swoon), Then again, Iā€™m a sucker for a pretty black horse.

Unfortunately, Iā€™ve heard that too :disappointed:

Alright just ran across this opinion piece by him.

My opinion has been changed.

Honestly, that much talent deserves to be a little obnoxious. I read the article and I donā€™t find it offensive unless Iā€™m just missing some major point.

The article isnā€™t offensive at all. Just different tone vs the podcast where he seemed like a soft enlightened individual.

Iā€™m fine with him being obnoxious. Heā€™s earned it.
