So sorry for your losses of Siam and Mouse. You made the right call and gave him a kindness that many ferals don’t get. The colony is very lucky to have you.

I love this pic of Mouse ‘checking in’ on his buddy Nic while Nic was recuperating. For supposedly only affecting 5% of cats and not being contagious, having 3 cases in the same area in 2 years is a bit much (2 outdoor cats, 1 indoor cat). No more stomatitis please! I am so glad that Nic’s story had a different ending all thanks to you

May not be contagious, but I bet there is a genetic component to it… and that colony has something exacerbating it.
Mouse was beyond lucky to have you looking out for him. A swift death is so much kinder than slowly starving to death because it was too painful to eat!!
