I do believe you are taking Viney’s remark out of context. She said PP seemed to have been treated like the poor and powerless, not that she was indeed that.
And listing the names of the involved people, I mean, without checking their bios, I don’t know them from Adam’s dog, not am I in the know of internal politics…
AC is not pet sitter or boarding service, but it should also not be a cleanup service and tool for personal vendettas (see the the thread: http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277091 )
Their obligation is to assure the safety of the community, then the well being of the animals, and above all they have to make sure things are lawful!
If their actions look like they landed the biggest smelly fish in the county, something is just not right.
Has there been any additional information posted anywhere on the net, regarding PP, the animals, or the status of the charges? Or, are we still rehashing what we had, many, many pages ago?
the people listed in pp ssituation of getting the hroses by another
poster is the same here as instandard proceedure
you have animal representives to cover animal rights
and you have human representitves to cover human rights
look at the tittles of the named people
then you have mr plod so it all legal you cannot seize without one
in other words by law you have people representing the animals and the humans and mr plod as it is here uk to
And you’re basing your opinion on a letter posted somewhere on line with zero supporting sources? Wait, who’s judgmental? Because someone said that some SPCA person in NJ has a vendetta against them that makes it true for an unrelated incident in ME with AC?
sigh

i want i want i want - its a selfish act really to buy or go somewhere for self and yet the very things that have got you where your going to
havent been supplied with food water a decent home or living space thats selfish and unjust
That, Your Honor, is cause for reasonable doubt to the assumption that it’s not possible for the accused to be wrongfully targeted.
Not to mention the accused in the other thread volunteered her personal info for the world to check out. Go for it!
IMGiH you are hilarious! No it isn’t. That isn’t anything. Your logic is not valid in any possible world, not just this one! Seriously, now you are just cracking me up!
Just because there might be some official somewhere that might have wrongfully targeted someone completely unrelated to PP there is some sort of proof there might be some sort of wrong targeting going on of PP? Well, it’s good to know that because someone somewhere has done somebody wrong that no one will ever be convicted of anything beyond a reasonable doubt again. BTW - you just collapsed our entire legal system. Happy now?
SCFarm
I don’t see in the list of people who were present at the seizure anyone representing PP’s interests. All are either employed by or connected with the prosecuting side.
Honestly, the legal system could use some collapsing. It’s been weighted too much toward the government since the Reagan administration.
LULWUT?
I am sure in some world you make sense…
Glad you are easily amused…in this world…

Alright, lose horses are a danger, but hmmm, in this case the horses were NOT out.
Plus you don’t know if the horses got out by themselves or if nosy neighbors or passer-bys thought they needed more room and tore down the fence.
And yes, I think it is totally possible for people to call authorities on incidents they caused themselves to get others in trouble. My nephew used to instigate and then tattle on his cousins when he was younger, I still don’t trust that kid!
You really should try studying logical thinking and reading and understanding for comprension!

However I’m presuming it’s infinitely preferable to being terminally stupid!
This is why I love the ignore feature. Only have to see the ignorance when it is quoted.

lastly, that shelter that collapsed last winter…give me a break. Real cozy and warm, the water doesn’t freeze…really? That was per PP’s account in a previous link showing her shelter. I don’t think its much warmer than outside, and since it is zone 5 in dedham, maine, guess what…the average minimum temps there are -20 to-10? Can someone explain how it is that much warmer or how water doesn’t freeze in PP’s shelter?
I’m not sure - are you implying that barns must be heated for horses when temps fall to these levels? If so, not true and not reasonable…and not even healthy.
As far as water goes, I carry heated water to my horses several times a day, and put it in their insulated buckets. No freezing water even at -30 to -35F. Even cater to their whims. My mare likes her water cold; my Thoroughbred likes his warm. Like I said in an earlier post, I spoil 'em rotten.
Not sure what pp does, but it’s not difficult to keep water from freezing at these temps, just a lot of work.
I wasn’t able to join Pony Club as a kid, but I have all the Pony Club books. Can’t find any mention anywhere that a horse or pony needs a waterproof roof. In fact, the books mention that pasturing is the best and most natural way to keep your pony.
I have many books on horses and not one says that horses need waterproof roofs - but most mention pasturing as the best and most natural way to keep your horse.

Like I said, I normally agree with you, but I do think you went off the deep end on this subject.
Does that make me terminally stupid?
